Q: Can this be used for a down jacket?

DON'T USE IN DOWN! This is ruin your down jacket! The product will clump the down making the insulation uses. Down jackets aren't water proof by nature anyways. This product use made for outerwear shells. Best DWR on the market is used properly.

Q: Can i use this on huge american cotton flag. i live in oregon and want to protect better.

It will make the flag water proof, but won't protect it from UV damage

Q: How many ounces should I use per wash

It is kind of complex, but here you go. For top load machines, 10 fl oz., max of 3 garments. For a Front loader, 3 fl oz / garment, max of 2 per cycle. for hand wash, 1 garment, 2 fl oz.
