Brigittine Monks Pecan Praline Fudge 1lb

I got this fudge for a comparison with the fudge I make. My family, children & grandchildren ate both side by side and let me know what they preferred. The Brigittine Monks fudge is far better than what I have been making, so I know better what I'm aiming for.

It's a little to good tasting for me because I seemed to eat it all in two days even though I told myself to stop. I just couldn't. I had no self control at all because the taste was just over the top to good. They need to find a way to control peoples portions so this doesn't happen to others. Maybe some sort of time lock should be included so you could only get so much per day. Other than being way to good tasting it was fine though.

I bought both the praline and the chocolate and was disappointed with both. This is not what I would call premium natural fudge. The flavor is almost too sweet, and the texture is too firm. Ingredients include carageenan, disodium phosphate, vitamins a and d, invertase and egg whites. I should have gone with the mackinac stuff I remember fondly.

Liked no nuts; taste and texture were wonderful.

This was a gift for my father-in-law, who was very pleased with the product. He loves pecans and who doesn't love pralines so the combination was perfect for him

This fudge was extremely creamy and had a smooth texture (no graininess). The monks clearly know how to make fudge so that the sugar does not crystalize as the fudge is cooling. Further the chocolate flavor was everything a chocoholic could ask for. I would definitely buy this fudge again!!

Sorry mguys, but this fudge doesn't taste homemade, more like a commercial recipe...I have no problem contributing to he monks, but I can make better candy myself...
