All Fall Down (Oxenbury Board Books)

Fun for babies
I read All Fall Down and Tickle, Tickle by Helen Oxenbury to my children. Oxenbury understands babies it seems. These board books are engaging and fun for children and the one reading. All Fall Down helped me to play and get silly with my children. With few words, they seem simple to adults, but for children it’s just right because they inspire fun. I like how the books are a little bit larger, making the illustrations of babies relatable. I bought this as a gift for my niece whose child turned one.

15 words over 8 pages
I timed myself and taking it slow for my toddler to flip the pages this is still an under 30 second read. My toddler likes to bring me books and he seems to feel rejected because I am not taking the time to read to him like I do with other books.I do like that the illustrations feature several races, but it would be nice if the clothing was the same from page to page so I could explain this is cause and effect.

Yes, it's only 8 pages, BUT
I thought, like other reviewers, that this book was overrated when I got it in my Amazon Book subscription. I couldn't have been more wrong. It has been an absolute joy to watch my toddler interact more and more with the book the more that we read it. It started out where she just found the pages really interesting, and would stare at them for longer than with other books. At this point, she's developed her own actions to go with each page! There's some kind of baby magic in this book, which makes it well worth getting.

Cute book
I like this book because it is multicultural and it shows babies of a lot of different races however the book is a little short but my baby is one year old so that's fine for now I just wish it was a bit longer and more detailed. Overall awesome book if you want a book with many differentypes of babies for baby to look at.

... books are delightful to read to your child -- fun for the reader and the listener
This book and the companion books are delightful to read to your child -- fun for the reader and the listener. Helen Oxenbury's simple rhymes and illustrations engage young children. I also appreciate the fact that the children in the books are different races, so these books expose children to people who are like them, but look different from them on the outside from an early age. My children outgrew these books years ago, but I saved them for future grandchildren and give them as gifts.

Too short
This book is way too short (just a few pages). Gave 2 stars because they show babies of different races.

Cute
I love the illustrations. It's a very cute book. Although it's a short read, each page is enjoyable and adorable. You can make a song out of the words too. The books are rather big so the images are easy for baby to see.

Perfect introduction to the world of picture books for little ones!
I first bought this little series of board books for my own children more than 25 years ago and have now bought them again for my 13 month old grandson!Simple and delightful and Finlay listens with interest, turns the pages and "reads" them to himself as well!A really great introduction to stories for little ones featuring objects and situations they're familiar with.

No rhythm
I thought it would be a great book, but very disappointed with poor rhythm and lack of enthusiasm( especially when it’s suppose to be a fun book for the little ones)

Not as expected
The book I originally had must have been two books together, because this is only half the story! It started well and as expected but I expected it to end with 'hush little babies say goodnight'. Definitely not good value for money with this in mind.
