Little Kingdom by the Sea: Secrets of the KLM Houses Revealed Paperback – May 1, 2015

Purchased as a gift but had the chance to look at it. Excellent little book for those who are fascinated/interested in the Amsterdam canal houses. A must have for the collector.

I am Dutch and really enjoyed reading this little book full of history, I own 96 KLM houses so extra special to read about them.

Book was described to be in good condition, but in fact it was like new! Outstanding source of information for the history behind the actual homes depicted by the beloved KLM ceramic house miniatures.

An excellent look at the history and development of these exquisite models made exclusively for KLM Royal Dutch Airlines' customers. Each building has a short history of its architecture and purpose and is quick reading. A lot of information for the money!

A well-received X-mas gift for the collector. Miniature in size but humongous in information. So glad that it's available in English.

The background on KLM Houses was good. The price was entirely too expensive. I purchased it as I really wanted to know the background. However, the price is extremely expensive and not worth it.

Book a lot smaller in size than expected when it states "paperback" but a perfect pocket size book over an inch thick with lots of interesting information about the houses itself, the history behind it etc., but more so the stories behind and about each little house. Very well written and never boring to read. Even if you've no interest in collecting these miniatures the book is a mine of information about interesting and touristy Dutch houses and architecture and in between tells us a lot about the social lives of days gone past. Five stars all round.

Very informative and interesting little book. Both a history of the little ceramic houses and a history of Holland. Really pleased with it.
