This product causes CANCER!!
I received these bricks with a strong warning label attached: CAUSES CANCER WHEN INHALING DUST! Nowhere on the order site was there any mention of carcinogenic effects caused by handling these bricks!! I immediately threw them away. I have cancer and I don't need additional exposure to carcinogens!! BEWARE WHEN ORDERING PRODUCTS ON AMAZON!!!

Well packaged Oct 2021
It appears the seller has taken note of the reviews re: broken bricks. I ordered a pack of 12 (3000F) and they arrived exceptionally well-packed — box was from Lynn Manufacturing, (the manufacturer) — not from Amazon. As to the cancer warning: DUH. There is not a single refractory firebrick or insulation of ANY high-temperature rating that doesn’t have a silicosis risk. If the brick is fired (and rated) above 2100°F, that’s in the range where amorphous silica can convert to cristobalite crystals… even if you buy “biosoluble” kaolin-based insulation and fire it that high *yourself.* If you can’t accept that tiny risk, then please stop whatever high-temp (>2100°F) activity you’re doing, because there’s no thermally-safe insulative material that is completely biologically-safe to inhale. As one other reviewer said: just don’t breathe the dust. Treat it like you would fiberglass insulation — which is also a respiratory cancer risk. […if you read the California prop 65 cancer warnings, EVERYTHING contains “substances known to the state of California to cause cancer” — including innocuous materials like stainless steel and even pure organic coffee...even though coffee can be a cancer preventative. Literally everything can cause cancer in a lab rat force-fed a substance in quantities many times it’s own bodyweight.]But I digress. Just be reasonable and responsible with material-handling and rest easy. You’re fine; and this is a good quality product for a fair price. (I can only speak to the integrity of the more-dense 3000F bricks that I ordered, but, there’s not a single broken or chipped brick in the box.)

Read descriptions carefully to order the right brick
This was exactly as described, so this is not a complaint. The 2300f brick is very lightweight, porous and somewhat soft. It's dusty, and rightfully contains health warnings about inhaling the dust which includes silica. It's well packaged in bubble wrap and plastic, and clearly labeled. I probably should have ordered the 3000F brick for my purposes, since I think I'd prefer something more dense and durable, but they sell those too, so the choice was mine entirely. Read the chart to decide for yourself what you need. I don't have any way to test the properties, but I have no reason to doubt it. I'm giving it a 5 star rating based on the information I have.

Very effective!
Holds enough heat for a nice bright yellow on 1095, W2, and some rebar in my little baby home made no weld forge heated by a propane torch.Bottom is the hard fire bricks, sides and top, and the "doors" are this type. Cut some slots into a scrap piece to hold knives upright - that's what's in the middle.

Gonna be a little beat up. Accept that before you buy
Mostly intact with a few busted corners and lots of dust in the bubble wrap. After reading the cancer warning sign about the dust it made me a little worried about getting it all cleaned up safely.Be aware that these bricks are very soft. They are going to crumble and the corners after almost certainly going to break in shipping. While mine were very well wrapped they still lost a few corners. Just accept that before you buy them.

Low quality
I was expecting much better quality for the price. The product arrived in perfect condition. I bought 2 bricks 2600F. Both of them seem of different quality (although they were both market "26"). In one of the bricks, one of the corners pulverized. They are going back. I would not recommend this product.

Poor Quality Bricks
Purchased a couple of these bricks as I only needed two. Both bricks appear to be of poor quality as they both had broken corners and chips. I have purchased fire bricks before of a different brand and they came in very good condition. Not worth the effort to return as I can still use these poor quality bricks for what I had intended them for. I certainly would not recommend these brick to anyone. They did arrive well wrapped, so I don't think they got damaged in the shipping. Most likely the person who wrapped them ignored the poor quality product they were boxing.
