How to Draw Comic Book Heroes and Villains (Christopher Hart's How To Draw)

Exactly what I was looking for.

I bought this book for my 9-year-old nephew and quickly realized it wasn't suitable for young audiences. Like almost all comic book heroines, these gals are soft porn (C'mon: if the girls in this book were walking around in real life they would tip over from the heft of their pointy boobs alone!). I can actually live with that; it seems to be some sort of right of passage for boys, and so be it. However, in the author's process of teaching the reader to be anatomically correct in their drawings, and to build the comics from the ground up, he presents lots of topless ladies that are inappropriate for kids my nephew's age. I shipped it back and am getting the book on cartoon animals instead. Just wish I had known before I ordered it.

Bought this for my 14 year old grandson, who is alreadyan awesome artist - per his mother's request. I didn'texpect him to be thrilled about it, because he alreadyhas his style and isn't about to copy someone else'sstyle. Some kids learning to draw would probablylearn a lot from it, if they haven't gotten reallygood already.

Gave this as a Christmas gift to my eleven year old nephew. He greatly enjoys it as it includes a section to create your own comic books. Book is very detailed and is bigger than appears, many pages full of drawing 'how to's' and tips!

Before I picked up this book I couldn't play hangman because I couldn't draw the guy. This book taught me so much! Now my drawings kinda resemble people. I still have a ways to climb but this book is wow!

Had a copy if this book years ago butbit disappeared one day. Anywho I bought mostly for memories. I learned a great deal from this book as well. Hopefully I'll by sone other titles soon.

This is an awesome find, book in great shape, excellent buy! Will do business with this seller again in the future. Gives good instructions on drawing comics using this method.

good condition

This is a really good book, I wanted it as a kid but couldn't afford it so I got it now:) probably a little dated now with the style of drawings but still very good at teaching you how to draw!!

Bought it for my sister and it really helped her with her drawings easy to follow she says. It was in good condition

An excellent aid to drawing characters, with step by step guides. It would get 5 stars if it also included instructions to help with colouring the line drawings.
