The PERFECT Quarantine Companion!
Let's get real - Lock down has been hard and I was in desperate need of refocusing my energy into something positive instead of dwelling on the negative and unknown. This book was EXACTLY what I needed! It's clearly laid out and easy to navigate - with daily exercises to help pull you away from feeling out of control in your circumstances and giving you something positive to practice for your wellbeing on an on-going basis. I've already noticed a huge difference in my mental state and overall attitude. I love that it's something I can do every morning with my coffee and it helps to set my day - I've also used it mid-day on challenging days as a mental re-set. I've marked pages that were particularly impactful - so I can go back to those exercises again. I can see using this book for years to come. Thank you Dr. Barton - This is exactly what the world needs right now!!

Short and simple- great ideas
I’m a hypnotherapist and I use visualization and hypnotherapy. This book had great metaphors and ideas for the clients I've had lately who want to start and excel in their own business. 4 stars because it was short and a little dumbed down.

A Treasure Trove of Visualization Exercises with Positive Affirmations
Dr. Barton Goldsmith’s “Visualization For Success” is a treasure trove of visualization exercises with affirmations to enhance 3 areas: Positivity, Relationships and Goals. The author sets the stage by explaining the history of visualization, four stages, and psychology’s role. And then the majority of this book is 75 easy 10-15 minute visualization exercises to help you focus on the positive changes you’d like to see in your life. It’s filled with great reminders and exercises to push your life forward in an easy-to-read format! Highly recommended.

Psychological Exercises for a Better You
Do you feel like you’re getting what you want from what life has dealt you? I’m not necessarily talking about material gain, but rather improvements in personal relationships, goal attainment and the like? If so, then a book that may benefit you in your quest for personal improvement is Visualization for Success.Starting with some quick background, Visualization for Success explains the foundations of the concept of visualization. It talks about the process, the four stages of visualization, key concepts, and other important things to know before launching into the actual exercises themselves. This background info is brief, but important because it sets the stage for the remainder of the book. The visualization exercises themselves comprise the bulk of the reading and they are organized into three broad groups: Positivity, relationships, and goals. Each of the 75 exercises is explained and includes a table indicating the necessary time requirement, a suitable place to perform the exercise, the recommended experience level, and an affirmation to associate with each. On the following page are step by step instructions to complete the exercise. There are several useful exercises in Visualization for Success and many who utilize and follow the advice in this book will find the activities helpful. Most of the exercises don’t take much time- typically 10 to 15 minutes- and that means they can be completed most any place, even while sitting in your office at work, during a break. And since the book is divided into three broad categories, you can concentrate on the ones that are most important and useful to you personally. For me, I concentrated on the relationships and goals sections. I feel like I already have the positivity nailed down. It’s easy to go straight to the section that you want because of the colored band at the top. Just hold the closed book and look at the edge. The blue section is positivity, purple is relationships, and orange is goals.Because this book is focused on the exercises, it is more like a reference guide. It is the type of book you may want to keep handy and continue to reference from time to time, when you feel like an affirmation exercise to make a certain aspect of your life better. One thing I wish it had more of is background on the psychology of visualization. The first part of the book is a decent warm- up to the idea, but I would have liked to know more. Still, taken as a whole, Visualization for Success is a good book overall and most who read it, perform some of the exercises, and take its wisdom to heart will emerge better and more satisfied than before.

Empower your life and help heal the planet!
Just as the planet is spinning out of control and humanity is feeling fearful and helpless, a glimmer of hope appears on the horizon. This glow of synchronicity takes the form of a very timely book, entitled, "Visualization for Success: 75 Psychological Empowerment Exercises to Get What You Want in Life." Psychotherapist Barton Goldsmith, PhD, must have visualized, in advance of the current pandemic, the need for people to exert some control over their lives. The book provides a tidy, easy-to-use navigational system for the soul in its individual and collective journey towards enlightenment. Dr. Goldsmith prefaces the exercises with a simple yet powerful explanation of how visualization operates and how these techniques can enhance your life. The exercises are then divided into three useful categories, including, creating a positive life; enhancing and deepening your relationship; and, creating success through setting and achieving your life's goals. My personal favorite aspects of the book are two-fold. First, I savored Dr. Goldsmith's detailed and clear explanation of the nature of visualization, including a scientific and case study orientation. Second, I appreciated the first collection of exercises in the triad, which emphasized positivity. I think that having a joyful heart is the foundation of any other life accomplishments, including relationships and outward success. Since I am a natural optimist, I will use these exercises to enhance my natural joy, thereby helping to raise the collective joy of the planet.Thank you, Dr. Goldsmith, for your fine publication; you are at the forefront of lifting humankind from fear and trembling to joy and success! I visualize, for you, ultimate success for this wonderful creation, as we use it to improve our lives, and by doing so, enhance the collective energy of our planet. I highly recommend "Visualization for Success" and give it Five Stars!
