solidex Video or VHS rewinder for Your VCR

I bought this "car" VHS rewinder after my previous different VHS rewinder died after less then 2 years. This one is much quieter. I just put the tape in, close the hood, it rewinds with minimal noise and then pops open when done. My previous one would sometimes make lots of racket or I would have to hold the lid more firmly closed to make it work. My "car" rewinder is not what I would have chosen style-wise, but it works really well and helps to keep my VCR lasting longer. Very good purchase!

I am still one of the old fashioned ones who have a VCR recorder (it also plays DVD's)... I don't like using it to rewind the tapes however, so I depend on a rewinder. The one I had had for a very long time, finally gave up the ghost. I looked all over my area (in stores) to find a new one. But no luck. After going online, I found two I was considering (this being one of them). Since my husband has a corvette, I decided to go for this fun one. And the reviews on it were good. I'm pleased with it so far - it rewinds quietly and very fast - much faster than my original one.

I'm sad to see this product being discontinued. I did not especially want it to look like a car, but it works great. I really like the controlled rewind speed. There is no problem with the playback because of the controlled rewinding speed.

Very ingenious. I like how the hood pops up, when the tape is done rewinding & the taillights are lit up. Makes a great decoration (that's able to perform in disguise).

It serves its purpose with style. Wish this product came in other styles than just a corvette. A airstream would be nice
