Thick and flexible wire but a little bit smelly
This wire is extremely thick, but it is actually surprisingly flexible. I have other extension cords that are thinner and much more stiff than this one. The only thing is that the rubber insulation on the outside is a bit stinky, but it has been dissipating over time. So you may want to leave this cord somewhere to air out while it's still new.

The cord is rated for 15 amps and remained flexible over the winter. It is high quality and I would buy it again

Perfect for my application
I ran this cable along the inside of my gazebo to connect to my Traeger. This 12g fulfills the requirement for running this much cable to a high voltage smoker. I wouldn’t risk anything thinner given how much power it draws on startup.The cable itself is heavy duty. Thick but flexible. The black casing keeps it discreet against my black gazebo. No where does it state this cable is waterproof. So out of precaution I’m using a twist and seal cover plug protector that seals the connection between the male and female plugs.I own one other south wire cable and love how durable they are. Hence, why I went with them again and I am glad I did. This cable should last a very long time. I 100% recommend this USA made cable. Support American businesses that make quality products.
