Not even 2.5 amps, if you need 2.5a this will not work. Tried to run a raspberry pie which need at least 4.75v at 2.5 amps and I received undervolt warnings. I am sure this is enough power to charge most phones and some tablets slowly, it is not close to 3 amps

I installed one of these in two different vehicles, and both of the car radios immediately developed unbearable radio interference. Since the item is designed and intended to be wired into vehicles, rf interference is a no no. To be clear, the amount of interference made FM reception nearly inaudible.
