Topwater chugger
Very attractive topwater lure. I bought the 4 inch white with red head. Every cast I was getting fish.

Lure does not float and the forward treble hook frequently catches on itself and the line.
This lure does not float. The forward treble hook is too big and catches on the fishing line often when casting.

Kinda bummed I got this lure and used it once but lost it to a school of stupid snapper blues. Never got to really try it out much or land a fish on it.

I'm glad I can still get them on Amazon
The Creek Chub Striper Strike used to be more common and available than in recent years. Some major sporting and fishing catalogs don't even carry them. This is my go-to lure when casting to blitzing bluefish or fishing around rocky shorelines for stripers. I'm glad I can still get them on Amazon. One of the best top-water saltwater lures around. I recommend the large 5 inch, 2 1/8 oz. model. It casts like a bullet and draws the fish like a dinner bell. I like the Blue Flash, Silver Flash, Banana/Red Head & Pearl/Red Eye.

The Striper Strike is one of the most superb top water lures for saltwater use.
The Striper Strike is one of the most superb top water lures for striped bass and bluefish casting from the surf, shore or boat. They are gettting harder to find than they used to, probably due to the myriad of new brands and styles of lures flooding the market over the years. If you can find them, they are worth having a few of the 2-1/8 oz., 5 inch models on hand if you fish for stripers and blues. I like the Blue Flash, Silver Flash, Banana/Red Head & Pearl/Red Eye.

Catches fish, awful hardware
Definitely catches fish, it’s a slow sinking popper so great for rougher surf. 4 medium sized fish later the hooks bent, bucktail gone, the front eye twisted. I switched the hooks etc and it does better now and still catches fish
