How serious are you?
The price is right n these, but they're a bit too close to "toy" and too far away from "equipment" for me. Here are the problems:(1) The chain is too long. The physics don't quite work right because of the length of the chain. They just don't afford enough control, either when applying power or when lifting power and expecting them to travel along a particular trajectory. It's on my list of "todos" to cut the chain off and replace with a shorter piece of rope for that reason.(2) The foam doesn't stay attached. Use these for 5 minutes and guess what? *Vooooomp* the foam slides right off of the weapons and goes flying across the room mid-strike/block/spin/whatever. You will find that you need to apply some glue when reattaching the foam after this happens, or your practice sessions will instead be turned into "fetch the foam" sessions.(3) Build quality ain't great. A few strikes and the plastic inside the foam is starting to come apart. For a highly kinetic piece of equipment that's supposed to be a *weapon* that's not good. Now I don't expect to get into any actual combat situations with these or anything, but I'm talking fitness for purpose as a practice weapon—here we have a practice weapon that doesn't want to be moved very quickly or suffer too many impacts. Ugh.End of day, like I said, the price is the main draw here but if you plan to actually practice with your weapons for a couple hours a day, and not just let the kids play with them, these may not work for you. You'll certainly need to make some mods just so they'll hold up to practice conditions. And if you're going to have to invest time to shorten and dollars to glue anyway, may as well just spend $10 more and get better practice weapons, IMO. YMMV.

Lightweight long chained chucks
These are good to learn the nunchucks. But be careful as for me the foam part came off the handle in a couple of days. But you can put it back and glue it to prevent it from moving. The chain is metal and the extra weight helps learning. Theoretically the chain of a chucks should be the length of the width of the wielding palm. However the chain is pretty long which makes controlling or one hand rolling difficult. Given time and practice you could learn it. They are cheap and ok to start practicing.

These are great
I bought these for my son for Christmas and I know he is going to love them. When I bought them I did not realize they came with 2 sets of nunchucks so that was a bonus. The chains are heavy-duty but what I like the best is that the ends are nice and soft. I worry about my son getting hurt so these are perfect.

Best Aunt Ever!
I bought these as a gift for my niece and nephew, who have an interest in martial arts. Let's say my sister is not too impressed with me, but the kids love them! As other reviewers have mentioned, they are surprisingly high quality for the price. While I did buy the rubber training nunchucks for fun, these would be great for any beginner.

Soft and safe: win-win
Son has been into Taekwondo for awhile now and sees the black Belt class flinging the nunchucks around and can't wait to advance to that point. These are pretty much spot on what they use in class, except foam. They seem pretty durable – he'll have a blast when he opens these as a present.

Nice practice nunchucks
The nunchucks look like the one they sell at the Tae Kwon Do school that my daughter attends. It's too big for her to use right now but it's a good size for my husband to practice with. I was worried cause one of the reviews mentioned it broke already but they feel sturdy.

come as 2 packs
first it comes with two packs, which means one dum chucks actually costs less than 10 dollars, and this is great! for its duration, i guesa its because i was practicing outside day by day and dropped many times a day, so the first one only been used about one month long. but it should be fine if u r playing inside the room, or on wood ground. since the price its very nice i wont complain much, the most unpleasant thing might be the chain, not super good quality, but for a 10 dollar dum chucks, its acceptable
