Techniques of the Great Masters of Art

Having seen Waldemar Januzcak's very interesting programmes on impressionism, I bought the book 'Techniques of the Great Masters of Art' and even though I haven't made my way through it yet, I must say that it appears both informative and most interesting.

This is absolutely superb. Intelligently put together it speaks for the integral relation between artistic vision and the crafting and making that supports it in different periods of art. The book arrived well before the latest arrival date scheduled; an impressive service for which I'm most grateful. for those of who need to travel a lot, and need this book in different places, a Kindle version, and/or version for iPad would be ideal.

Good content but very hard to read

Insights into painting techniques that you will not find anywhere else. Great full page same size illustrations of canvases that show you the brushwork of major works. Very useful as a reference and basic guide when you are starting out.

The various authors do a fine job in analysing the techniques of key paintings. their comments are supported by clear illustrations
