SONY KEYLESS Entry Battery - CD/1

What can you say about a battery. It's inexpensive and it seems to work in the watch for which I bought it as a replacement. I'm not sure how it can be sole so inexpensively but I am glad I did not have to search the stores for one.

Sony CR2016B1A Lithium Button Cell Battery: I had a couple watches that needed a battery swap. I was ordering other things too so I included some batteries. They arrived quick and the batteries had a full charge. As I tested them before making the swap. I did this because I was burned on a battery I purchased from a local department store. I thought it was something I did when the watch didn't start up. DOA. I will test from now on.If you poke a small hole in the package for the tester.... You can check it and return it before you OWN it.

I got this to replace my watch battery (Timex Expedition). I only needed one and all the other options came with at least two batteries. The cost per battery was slightly higher, but only a couple cents. I figured that was worth it since batteries do not sit on the shelf forever.Speaking of shelf life, the expiration date for the battery I received is 2023, I ordered in April 2011 so it has over a decade left. That was my biggest concern ordering online was getting one near its expiration date.Not much else I can say about a battery, at least at this time. It works, was the right size, that's all I need in it.I'll update this if it doesn't last long, if you don't see an update it means it's still working.EDIT 10/2/11: Yes, it is still working, just thought I'd add that I bought this directly from Amazon. I think they'll be a little more trustworthy on the expiration date than a 3rd party seller.

Purchased for my garage door remote. They are doing the job for half the price. You cannot beat the price.

You could easily spend 5 times as much on a battery like this in the jewelry store. Of course they will put it in for you. Sometimes this size is not easy to come by in other stores. Hey, a little over a dollar; shipped to your house; how can you go wrong!

My Timex watch died after 5 years or so of loyal service. In the past I've taken my watches to the jeweler to get their batteries replaced, but this time I figured I'd try it myself. I watched a couple of youTube videos, then bought an $18 watch tool-kit and this battery from Amazon. Getting the back off the watch was pretty easy, and popping the battery in was a piece of cake. Now the watch runs as good as new. Hopefully I'm all set for another 5 years.

Decided to learn how to changed watch batteries myself instead of letting a watch dealer do this. The watch dealer might installed a generic battery and charge you 10 to $20.00. Installed it myself with this great battery at a great price. Thanks Amazon..
