Bright and Solar Powered!
I bought all the following items. I’ll list the items in order of the BRIGHEST top down. I’ve taken a picture of these products, located at: http://i44.tinypic.com/beep9h.jpgHopefully Amazon doesn’t remove the link.Energizer Solar Rechargeable 3-LED Carabiner Crank Light - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003JILY9G/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This is the brightest little solar/crank flashlight I bought. It’s durable and did I say it’s the brightest? This is worth your purchase.21st CG 6019 Waterproof Hand Crank and Solar Flashlight - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008475HEU/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This is the next brightest crank flashlight. And the best part(s) is it’s waterproof AND solar. This is worth your purchase.Ambient Weather WR-111B Emergency Solar Hand Crank AM/FM/NOAA Digital Radio, Flashlight, Cell Phone Charger with NOAA Certified Weather Alert & Cables - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0071BTJPI/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This is nice to have for emergencies. The light is still not as bright as the two above it. However, for what it does, I give it give stars. This is worth your purchase.Ambient Weather WR-089 Compact Emergency Solar Hand Crank AM/FM/NOAA Weather Radio, Flashlight, Smart Phone Charger with Cables - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004068AWU/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i02?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This thing works as advertised. It is the little brother of the WR-111B model. It’s not as bright, but is smaller in size.Energizer Weatheready 3-LED Carabineer Rechargeable Crank Light, Red - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002MFK7BS/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i03?ie=UTF8&psc=1. This decently bright, but the solar paneled version is anywhere from 50% to 100% brighter.Garrity Power Lite 3 LED Crank Light - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001L1RU8C/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. In my opinion, this is not worth it. It is big and bulky, and the light is not as bright as others. For your money, you are better off buying other products.2pc Wind-Up Flashlight Set - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002XU7G6Q/ref=oh_details_o01_s01_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1. These items are good to have only as a backup. Throw them in your car or something. However, if you have a few more bucks, spending it on a better product like the solar powered Energizer one is a better idea. These flashlights are weak and very slippery. They can easily fall out of your hands.

100% worth the buy
So I like to add pros and cons to all the things that I purchase this is going to be kind of a different review first off, just buy this one lol everything about this product is fantastic to give you some numbers basically if you charge the handle for 5 minutes it equates to 8 hours of battery life on the single LED and 4 hours on the three LED setting and yes it absolutely does work as advertised fully water submergible and it feels like it's genuinely a well built product I actually saw a video explaining a bunch of different hand. Crank generators flashlights this one not only came out on top for every single one of the tests it was about middle of the road for price point because there's definitely more expensive options you can go with but for my understanding they're just not as good of a product and in my opinion, the flashlight is absolutely bright enough to read by and do anything you need to in pitch black anyways that's just my opinion but it really is a good product

Amazing Flashlight!
I can not say enough good about this flashlight. I bought it to take with me on a trip to Africa where there are regular power outages. Sure enough, on my first day there, the room I was staying in went pitch black. I was so thankful I brought along this flashlight and kept it nearby at all times. I like that it does not take batteries and uses a hand crank. The crank stores well in the unit and there is no fear of it breaking off when properly stored. It came fully charged and for a two week trip, I did not need to recharge at any point but I did just for peace of mind :). I have also used it for camping again when there is no light and it is great. There are three settings (one LED bulb, three LED bulbs and a strobe light) and I have found the one bulb throws out adequate light.

Handy When "Off The Grid"
We purchased one of the Secur Waterproof Hand Crank/Solar Powered 3 LED flashlights to use outdoors when hiking and camping. Basically anytime we're "off the grid" for a while and need the ability to keep a flashlight charged without packing a bunch of spare batteries.Let's start by clarifying the statement "no batteries needed" in the device description. There are no batteries that you need to buy or insert in the flashlight. The flashlight DOES have an internal 80mAh 3.6V, nickel–metal hydride (NiMH) battery that is built-in. The battery is not meant to be replaced by the user. The specification sheet enclosed with the flashlight clearly states no external battery is needed.Overall construction is good and the unit has been very reliable and rugged so far. Guess only time will tell how well it holds up. We have not taken the flashlight diving so cannot confirm the claim of being waterproof up to 45 feet, but it has held up well in wind and rain.PROS• Rugged construction.• Two charging methods; hand crank dynamo or solar panel.• Easy to keep the battery charged between normal use by either cranking the hand dynamo or placing the flashlight in the sun during the day.• Good size (6"x2.5"x1.75") for emergency car kit or bug out bag.CONS• Internal battery will wear out over time and the battery is not designed to be replaced by the user. Manufacturer claims a 5 year life for the entire device.• No output port for charging other devices. If you need that capability, this is not the flashlight for you.• Solar panel output is low so it can take 8 hours (or more) to fully recharge the flashlight when the battery is completely discharged. Depends on how much direct sunlight you have available.• No indicators (LEDs) to show battery level or if unit is charging when cranking the dynamo or when placed in the sunshine.Picture 1 - Arrived well packed with no damage.Picture 2 - Has a small instruction and specification sheet.Good flashlight for general use. Don't expect it to blind someone if you point it at them (even with all three LEDs on), but it will do a good job of lighting a path when walking at night. We purchased this during an Amazon Lightning Deal which made this an even better buy! This product was not provided as a sample for this review, so none of these comments are influenced in any way by the seller.
