Solid Rework Station at a Great Price
This SMD hot air rework station works great. It is very simple to use. The base station feels solid and well built. The handle is plastic. When the handle is in the holder it will enter an “idle” mode. While idle you can easily set the temperature you are looking for. The dial lets you adjust airflow. There is a wide range you can set it to. For my test it came up to 370C in less than 10 seconds. Temperature adjustments were very quick. Once done with the device it will reduce temperature and set itself back into idle mode. Overall this is a solid hot air station (especially considering the price).I removed an 8 pin relay using the included plunger. I was pleasantly surprised at how effective it was. It worked great for one hand operation. I was able to quickly liquify the solder at a pin and depress the plunger to suck it up.Safety FeaturesAutomatic idle when the handle is in the holderAdditional FeaturesTemperature calibrationChange display between C and FReplaceable heating elementThe station comes with 3 different nozzles. A tool was not included to change them, but it is still very simple. I really appreciated the inclusion of the heat shrink tubing with the product. With the ability to replace the heating element I’m sure I’ll be using this for quite some time!

It works
Didn't like the way it was packaged; looks like someone returned it. I immediately opened up the station and tested out the features. Everything seemed to work although I heard a rattling sound inside the unit so I opened it up to find a ball of solder. I couldn't locate the source so I continued to check it out. I'm satisfied so far but have limited use. These units are pretty much the same at this price point so don't expect too much. This one seems to function properly and adequately for what you're paying. I still might get a better built unit if I have more SMD projects. This HA unit can be used for various hobbies

Useful for hobbyist
I work on electronics as a hobby. I was able to remove a bga chip and it didn't look like the board was damaged. Unfortunately, I didn't finish the project because I had ordered the wrong replacement chip. I didn't feel confident that I would be able to successfully replace the chip, so I scrapped the project. You just can't see what you are doing with those kinds of chips, maybe for someone with more skill. Anyway, it works great for easier solder connections, like modding Xbox controllers, making a raspberry pi radio or something like that.

Worth the money
It works very well. The quality is good but I have used the higher priced ones (3X) that are much better quality. However, this works as well. Time will tell if it lasts, use it a lot, way more than I thought. The solder sucker that came with it is cheap plastic but...it works well, so ............the assortment of shrink tubing is useful. The tweezers are good. The funny pitch fork tool is ???? . The side cutters are functional, I do not expect them to last that long.

Good value, no issues so far
Well packed, starts right up, and many items included in the package. I haven't used this extensively yet, but seems like a great value. Will update this review after prolonged use.UPDATE 2021-05-30:I still rate this five stars. Granted, I don't use it daily, but its performance has been stable with moderate use.

Careful, brittle handle.
It does what it’s designed to do, only gripe is that the flame retardant handle is weak as it felt like plastic. After a couple of uses it actually got so brittle it broke off. Not entirely sure if it’s a manufacturer defect or not but something of a concern.

A good little d
This hot air blower actually works great. It appears to have all the regular power and safety recommendations for these types of blowers and it gets up to temp and works well when removing SMD components.
