Cooper RFHDCSG Z-Wave Handheld Controller

I have multiple other tools : Aeon Z-Stick, Homeseer, Micasa Verde Vera, Wayne Dalton USB-Z-wave stick. NONE can do what this thing can do with the same ease of use.Walk up to all your z-wave items. Select 'include', hit a button and presto. it's added, you edit the name and location there and then. Device associations are made with a few button presses. I could never get the associations right with neither the homeseer or the Vera system. there's always something that doesn't work right. This thing ? WORKS EVERY SINGLE TIME !Alos, this is the only controller i know of that lets you edit al the option fields. You can program the ramp rates of the dimmers , exit delays and all the other special features built into units. This handheld controller knows all the options for the Cooper controls and lets you edit by hand the fields for the controls it doesnt know. The Z-Wave licence ownere mandat the manufacturers to release the option field info. You can go to Cooper or Leviton or any of the other manufacturers and download the pdf file with the controls option codes. Simply select the option code , type in the number and off you go.Transferring setup to a secondary controller is done with 2 keypresses. This thing is a dream. I should have bought this from the get go and forgot about the homeseer ( very elaborate to install and configure... ) or the vera ( locks up at the most inconvenient times.. like when you are on vacation )I was able to transfer all z-wave devices and include my Honeywell L5100 alarm system as a secondary controller. All devices including thermostats transferred without a hitch.

Great controller and a must have for use with Cooper Z Wave products. I use it in conjunction with a Homeseer system and it has been a wonderful tool. There are propriety settings in Cooper Z Wave devices that this controller will help unlock. It is also a very good standalone Z Wave controller.

I like the style of the Cooper Devices, the handheld controller is easy to use and intuitive.
