Tarryall Mountains, Kenosha Pass Map (National Geographic Trails Illustrated Map, 105)

The national geographic line of maps are awesome. They are a thick map that is supposedly water resistant. They are easy to read and a a great reassurance when hiking in an area.I also carry these in my patrol car as a backup map if the computer mapping goes down.

I use these maps when available for areas I backpack in. Good coverage of trails,campsites and other points of interest.Water and tear resistant,hold up well.

Very good map with amazing markings and solid trail markings only problem is it doesn't mark camping sites in the lost creek area.

This map is great! Amazing detail and color, it also seems a bit sturdier that traditional paper maps. This map covers the Pike National Forest area, including the Lost Park Wilderness. Not sure if I would test out the "waterproof" theory on this map, however it has some form of light laminate on it.

I was surprised to find that some long-standing farmhouses and ranches were not shown on the map.

Good contours, accurate topography. Trails and roads marked well and up to date. Map has a nice glossy coating that appears to be waterproof (I have not tested this). Colors on map make it easy to differentiate contours, streams and trails in varied lighting conditions.

Good, easy to read map that was accurate and useful during our backpacking trip.

A bit heavy, but it is well-made, with a good level of detail.
