An Accessory that is a MUST HAVE
Having extra trays simply makes the job easier and faster. Just load up the second tray while the first tray is being scanned.Quality is excellent, very solid. They are a pleasure to work with in the way they open and close. The chances of breaking them by opening or closing them is IMO practically nil by the method they use.If you look at the picture from the seller find the number 3 and 4 on the tray. Between and just above those numbers is a locking thing-a-ma-jig that when down locks the tray from opening, pull it up and the tray can now be opened and loaded.Actually no effort to open or close these trays.More important you don't have to have any fear of your tray breaking because of the way this tray thing-a-ma-jig was designed to allow it to be either locked or not.No problems, no sweat, no trouble.Simple as ABC.Its awesome and pure genius.Definitely worth the money. The scanner that uses these is top notch too!

Good, but reflective edges around image area
I’m using it on a light table, using my DSLR to copy old B&W negs. In that context, here’s what I’ve found.Pros: Solidly built, holds film securely thanks to a clip. Flat on bottom and sides, so I can slide it along a guide taped to my light table, avoiding twists between shots. Has struts between frames to ensure film is held flat.Cons: Plastic around image areas is glossy, meaning it is reflective. I get a thin mirror image of the edge of the negative intruding in what I was hoping would be black edge to the shots. I’ll try abrading it.

Holds negatives BUT...
This negative film holder holds negatives. They wont be flat. The holder itself is cheap plastic and arrived bent from the factory. I was able to make it work but it is not a great product. It seems that most of these negative holders are just cheap plastic and of low quality. Even the digitaliza doesnt hold negatives as it should and it uses better materials.

and the latching mechanism could be better. The (old) film strips tend to be curled
Had a little trouble centering the film strips, and the latching mechanism could be better. The (old) film strips tend to be curled, and curled in the wrong direction. I ended up inserting them wrong side up and inverting the pictures electronically. I am getting very good scans, and I pretty much anticipated how much work this was going to be, so, overall I'm happy.

Gets the job done.
Gets the job done, but there are better options out there. But for the price this isn't a horrible option.
