They were made very sturdy and screw in the the grinder without binding. They are especially handy in the hard to reach areas that would be impossible if not for the extensions.

There’s not much to review it is what it is, however, this item really needs a washer to prevent the buffing wheel from sliding towards the grinder, the buffing wheel began to spin, actually it slowed down spinning when i was using it causing massive friction on the extended shaft. I stopped the motor and pushed the buffing wheel back in place and the shaft was so hot from the friction it immediately burned my finger, it hadn’t been spinning loose to long but it was enough to sear the inside of the buffing wheel, without a washer there is no way to tighten it to prevent the spinning, my inner grinder ring is to thick so it won’t allow for this buffing wheel extension shaft threads to reach through the buffing wheel to screw it tight, maybe they need to make the threaded area longer by an 1/8 of an inch.Luckily I had a washer that works, it’s a large diameter so just any washer won’t work, also the end of the threaded shaft is narrower so the washer sags unbalanced when spinning, had to use some metal muffler taper cut in a very narrow strip to fill in this area because spinning this fast the off center washer caused major vibration.

I was a little skeptical about having a polishing pad at the end of a long shaft, but I was trying to clean up some aluminum wheels and they were too deep for just the polisher. I was pleasantly surprised how well they worked. They fit tightly and are very solid. Polishing with these is a bit more tricky, I was still very happy how well they worked.

In spite of being listed in the frequently bought together box on the mini-buffer page, they don't fit the M14 threads on the output shaft, since these are 5/8-11 threads on both ends. You'll need to adapt upwards M14 - >5/8-11 at the machine and then adapt back down to 5/8-11->M14 at the backing plate if you are using the backing pads that come with the mini buffer. As a side note, these extension shafts do fit the output shaft of my Bosch variable speed 4-1/2 inch grinder without any adapters needed. (but you would still need a 5/8-11 female to M14 male adapter at the backing plate to use M14 plates)

It's supposed to go Ina grinder or polisher. . But only 1 of the 3 didn't have a serious wobble once installed. Terrible quality!!!! Do not purchase!!!!
