From the Manufacturer Read in bed without disturbing others. This cordless over-the-bed dual lamp offers individual, dimmable light to either person in bed. Each lamp slides along a 43-Inch track and adjusts side-to-side, while each lamp head swivels to shine right where the light is needed. No cords and wires like other over-the-bed lighting. Convenient and effective lighting wherever you want it, and only where you want it. Each LED lamp has its own on/off switch and is dimmable. These attributes make this lamp perfect to avoid disturbing your partner sleeping right next to you while you read or work. It's easy to install-if you can hang a picture, you can install this lamp. In addition, it's cordless, battery operated (Four D-Batteries, not included) design means you are not limited by cord length, outlet availability, and you keep a more clutter free look on your wall.

Looks very good, and functions okay
Way too dim! Looks very good, and functions okay, but if you are looking for a reading light, you need to pass on this one. My wife felt bad asking me to put her hold light back up, but she and I just couldn't use this for reading unless we wanted to go blind over time from eye strain. In an effort to make the lights brighter I replaced the need for batteries with an AC power supply (that plugs into the wall outlet) that puts out the same volts as a new set of batteries and soldered the power supply to the battery contact locations. This still does not provide enough light. Additionally if you grab the bulbs to adjust the light fixture, the bulbs pull right out of the fixture as there is nothing holding them in. I really wish this product had brighter lights as it fits perfectly on our headboard and looks aesthetically pleasing. Very disappointed!

Another Piece of Chinese Junk
$70 for a dimly lit, cheaply made, piece of junk that the bulbs constantly fall out of. I am very technically oriented and I cannot find a way to stop the bulbs from falling out when accidentally touched. Since the light is mounted on our headboard (CLOSE to our heads in an attempt to get enough light to read) every time we bump the light, like when rolling over, the bulbs fall out. They are "keyed" so getting them back in is a PITA.And, as a lot have mentioned, the brightness is inadequate.Too bad I have drilled and screwed our expensive headboard because I am removing and trashing this "Made in China," WAY overpriced piece of junk.

Pitiful. CHEAPLY CONSTRUCTED. Poor Lighting
DO NOT PURCHASE!I bought this product to create a more concentrated light source over reading material when my husband and I are reading in bed. This is a cheaply constructed product especially for the ridiculous price! If I paid less than $20, I might not be complaining, but $80? DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!The bulbs pop out if bumped and the amount of light they emit is miniscule. I still must use my bedside lamp in order to see my book.

Expensive and good but not fantastic
I kind of have mixed feelings about this, so I'll try to list the points and let you decide for yourself...Good: Energy efficient No wiring or outlet required Modern styling "Geek appeal" Dimmable Good range of aim and position adjustment on lampsBad: "Bulbs" fall out of sockets easily Not real solidly built Somewhat hard to install - requires 4 screws in middle about 2" apart, chances are 1 will hit a stud and others won't. ExpensiveIndifferent: Not sure about battery life, have had it about 3 weeks and so far haven't replaced them with about 1 hour of use / day. Light is very "cold" - much like moonlight. Not terribly bright - I could probably read with this light but it's marginal.

Barely a nightlight
Like other recent reviewers, I found that the lights were too dim for reading. I purchased this for my wife because she reads often in bed. Fortunately, the darkness that ensued after turning the lamps on prevented me from seeing my wife rolling her eyes with emotion that fell fairly short of joy. I'd be interested if anyone could supply any "hacks" about how to get this thing to function. Otherwise, it's the most unwieldy nightlight I've ever installed.

Great light if you are reading Braille
Esthetically pleasing but light output insufficient for reading. Single battery LED flashlights are markedly brighter. Would be excellent if brighter bulbs were available.

We were very disappointed as this was marketed as a reading light
These were not anywhere near bright enough to read by in bed even when turned up to full brightness. I'm a healthy 39 year old and do not wear glasses. We were very disappointed as this was marketed as a reading light.

Light not intense enough for reading.
I like the design of the light, however, the bulbs do not throw enough light for comfortable reading. Even in a dark room, the light is quite dim and requires eye strain, at least with my eyes.
