Savage 40" Stainless Steel C-Stand with Grip Arm Kit

This is my favorite light stand. I use it for a two light setup. I have the main light on the top (37" Octagon Soft box) and the under light (12"x47" soft box) to give you that beauty light setup. It's VERY sturdy. It is a studio stand and would recommend for travel and onsite shoots.

I've been putting this stand though some of my typical scenarios. This is the most significant innovation to the C-stand in its 100-year, or so, existence! It comes with 2 risers. It comes with a 20-inch riser that has come in so handy. If you run C-stands you probably run into situation where they are a bit tall for your purpose. The small riser solves this problem. And, it combines with the turtle base to convert is to a rocky mountain base! Only downside to this is the design (necessarily) forces you to put 2 legs uphill when its in rocky mountain configuration.I use Xplore 600TTL Pros with extension heads and the hook designed for holding cable has come in handy for holding my strobe body!Given everything that comes in the box, it's an excellent value.I am still working through the features and capabilities of this thing. But, so far I am really impressed!

All the things I love about this are in the title.The only trade off, is portability is a bit of a challenge for run and gun style shoots. Best use for mobile locations where there are a limited number of setups per day (or have enough crew on hand to manage assembly/disassembly.

Super heavy duty, exactly why I sent with savage I know I can rely on the quality. The versatility of this stand is amazing, easily the best c stand I've had.
