3 classic films in one boxset
It came so soon and all the Indiana Jones films were all epic and spectacular. This is one of both Spielberg and Lucas' best work

Indy!
You can't beat the classic Indian Jones Trilogy. Doesn't come with "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" which, let's be honest, is a good thing.

Fasten Your Seatbelt
Trying to draw an analogy for this remarkable, entertaining trilogy, I think back on the scene from "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," when Indiana, Willie Scott, and Short Round plunge from an unpiloted plane while hanging on to an inflatable life raft. This is the kind of ride--a wild, physics-defying freefall--that the viewer takes when watching these wonderful movies, a ride with twists and turns, bumps and bruises, laughs and gasps. It is more than mere coincidence that the INDIANA JONES TRILOGY appeared when video games were becoming ingrained in our social/cultural lexicon, as the films entertain just like your favorite PlayStation experience.Harrison Ford IS Dr. Indiana Jones--a dedicated archeologist who has a tendency to search for artifacts surrounded by danger and intrigue. Yes, Dr. Jones manages to perform one superhuman feat after another to escape almost certain death, but Ford gives the character a comic vulnerability that the viewer can't help but like. Indiana Jones may very well push the limits of disbelief, yet Ford portrays him as a man who is human--a man with feet of clay. The INDIANA JONES TRILOGY consists of three action-packed films: "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom," and "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade." All three are riveting, but by far my favorite is "Last Crusade," when Ford teams up with Sean Connery, who plays Professor Henry Jones, Indiana's father. The chemistry between the two actors is sensational--the subsequent comedy is priceless.Kudos to director Steven Spielberg for making Indiana Jones an entertainment icon. The INDIANA JONES TRILOGY is a must-have for all video collectors.

Wrong region code!! Didn't know that was a thing?!
Was the wrong region code so this will not play in our blu ray player. Extremely disappointed because I had no clue region codes were even a thing. I will have to purchase a new blu ray player just to play these dvds. My son was looking forward to this so much, which made it even worse. Boo.

Indiana Jones, from the Ark to the Holy Grail.
The Indiana Jones films are a rich mixture of action, humour, inventiveness, and some very serious philosophy, all bound together by the superb Indie and his friends and enemies. The films range from American college archaeology lecture rooms, to deserts and the insides of ancient pyramid-like temples, to the bowels of Indian mountains, South American jungles, and Germany in the 3rd Reich. The characters are fascinating, but Harrison Ford as Indie, most of all. After watching the first film,'Raiders of the Lost Ark' with John Williams' catchy theme and exciting atmospheric music for mystical scenes, one cannot wait to see the next one, 'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.' This is about a nasty Indian society of kidnapping thugs who use child labour to keep their secret, murderous rituals going inside a mountain and who capture the heroine and prepare to toast her. The classic Saturday Matinee cliffhangers run right through it, with Indie fighting grossly evil genius in impossible situations. Again, humour relieves the tension and there are issues to be considered philosophically, though they're different from the ones in 'Raiders.' Third in the trilogy is 'Indiana Jones and the Search for the Holy Grail.' which is marvellous. We get some of Indie's own history featuring Sean Connery as his remarkable dad. Train roof duels, ancient writings and very funny escapes of father and son provide huge entertainment as well as some poignant scenes. The Nazis are after the means of ruling the world again in an unholy search for the Holy Grail, also being pursued by Indie and his dad. The philosophy is even deeper than that of 'Raiders' and there are some very fine illustrations of the nature of faith and trust, as well as remarkable insight. it is easy to go back to Raiders and watch all three straight through again after finishing 'The Search for the Holy Grail.' Add on 'Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull' with its allusions to the other three, and even greater humour as Indie faces an atomic blast and the Russians attempting to take over America, plus a surprise and you have exciting adventure film-watching for years to come.

Got it for cheap but not great condition
The box condition made it look like something that was dug up by Indiana Jones.

Indiana Jones in boxed set.
Note that the clue to this boxed set lies in its title - 'Trilogy'. The fourth film in the series (Crystal Skull) is missing and I am no doubt that many will not consider this much of a loss.I do like the completeness of all collections and this omission may rankle with some.
