.com What separates White from the crowded pack of smooth-jazz guitarists is his exquisite sense of melody. That skill is on full display on Confidential, easily the most well-rounded album of White's career. Among the highpoints here is the return of vocalist Christopher Cross, who shines on a cover of Brenda Russell's light bossa nova tune, "She's in Love." Other guests include pianist Brian Culbertson, who offers a Bob James-like solo on the title track, trumpeter Chris Botti ("Stormfront"), and saxophonist Mindi Abair, who graces "Are You Mine." But it's White's lines that soar throughout, like melodies in search of words. --Mark Ruffin

Awesome Music
I absolutely love this CD. Every song is great! I appreciate the free rip, but there is nothing like having the CD. There were songs that I thought I heard a familiar artist. Sure enough there is a wealth of additional artist on this CD: Christopher Cross, Brian Culbertson, Paul Brown,Mindi Abair, Chris Botti and Michael Paulo.I also learned that Paul White is not just a guitarist. He also plays accordion, keyboard and piano. I am so glad I had the chance to see him in person. He loves what he does and you can hear it in his music. Check out "Jump On It". He plays all the instruments except the conga and the shaker. He plays a mean piano as well.I love the make believe detective story in the sleeve that incorporates the titles of the songs.

Great recording. Good selection of songs. One of my Favorites.
I have been a fan of Peter White for only a few years after hearing some of his songs mixed in on one of my Pandora channels. Being an amplifier builder & audiophile, I am always in search of quality recordings to demonstrate just what my amps can do. My favorite track is #2 'Talkin' Bout Love'. There is some extremely LOW bass that is incredible. Very few amps & speakers can faithfull dig that low without sounding blown-out. Track #4 'She's In Love' has a great vocal track. Great test tracks. And of course, Pete's guitar work resonates throughout the album. My only complaint is I wish Peter used more real drum tracks rather than sythesized drums. None the less, its a album I love listening to.

Confidentially, This Is A Hit!
This is Peter White's best effort since Perfect Moment was released in 1998. In tracks such as Talkin' Bout Love, How Does It Feel, and Confidential, he gives us the familiar and beautiful Peter White touch. His playing is up front and in the lead, with the rest of the music surrounding his melodies, in complement and contrast. In other tunes such as, Are You Mine, Lost Without Your Love and Endless Journey, he is content to let other artists have the spotlight. Of special note are Mindi Abair, Brian Culbertson, Michael Paulo and David Sparkman. Chris Botti's playing on Stormfront is the perfect compliment to Peter's gentle, understated rhythm. This is a mature and beautiful collection of music and is highly recommended. Bravo, Peter White!

Enjoyable!
Excellent album except for the 2 songs with vocals which seem out of place on a Peter White album. Enjoyable to listen to repeatedly!

Music to relax to
Every Album Peter White does is totally unique you never quite know who will be in th mix next, you just need to find a comfy chair and chill out and not worry to much at first about what the tracks are called, all that comes with time. It's nowt like listening to pop, nothing is predictable anything is possible just enjoy. Not sure it's jazz to me it's just music, Al Stewart said of Peter Whites first album "Réveillez-Vous" it's an album of Spanish Guitar music! well if you want that check out John Williams, you won't get that from Mr White the guitar my be Spanish! but therethe similarity ends

Christopher Cross chante magnifiquement "She's In Love" (Brenda Russell, Mark Portmann, Jay Graydon). Le deuxième titre chanté de l'album est "Lost Without Your Love" dans une veine plus soul. Le reste est de l'excellent instrumental. Idéal pour la voiture. N'hésitez pas!!
