A Review By an Extremely Vexed Reader
I will admit I got through only 72% of the book. It was just as turgid as Mien Lamps. 1st off, the Author is addicted to long, long lengthy lists which do not help the deadening flow of the book. At times I felt like I was reading the rules for the old time Gettysburg board game. Character development is shallow. I would have preferred a three volume set with more action less lists. The computer program for spell check and grammar was terrible. Words were missing from sentences and improper sound alike words like steal for steel were not uncommon. The author is extremely knowledgeable. I could glean this from the book. I wish him well in the future

Okay but
While the scenario starts out like many peoples daydreams about alternate history this volume is so completely filled with typos that it kept throwing me out of the story line. It seems clear the author ran a spellcheck software through the text, but did not follow up to ensure the correct word was used in the correct place. For example two and tow are both correctly spelled words but nobody would deliberately say "point tow, this will..."

Too many pages for a good read.
After the first half of the book when our hero goes back to his 21st century life I was fed up by the author trying to put more words to paper. Several times I thought he was being paid by page

Painful
This book had an interesting premise, but the execution left a lot to be desired. It's overly repetetive, overly long, full of editing issues and spends most of its time listing election results, materiel and population changes. This book was a pain to get through and I do not recommend it.

Got Grammarly?
Great story but too long at the end, and there is no excuse at all for the horrible, awful editing.

Interesting
An interesting "what if" take on history . I enjoyed it, despite a few typos.

Good effort
I liked this book though it has faults. Number one, it has plenty of typos, some amusing, others distracting. Then there was the short story, at the end . It didn't work for me. The main idea is interesting and comes down to what an intelligent, reasonable person could have done with Germany in 1939, before the war started. I found the switching of consciousness was too smooth. If some one woke up in Hitler's body would they adjust so quickly? I had a few quibbles with how everything went for the new Hitler, but that's all they were. Of course being an expert on the era certainly helped the new German leader. If it had been someone getting swapped who didn't know the history of the times it would have been tougher. Yet I did enjoy the story, though it went a little bit long. This is not a character development type of book ( though there is some in the individual in Hitler's body) . It is a look at what could perhaps have happened with a sane moral man leading Germany. It was worth the read.
