Desk Display Extension Kit for MagneTrainer, DeskCycle, MagneCycle and PCGamerBike

I think this is a great idea, if like me, you use the DeskCycle under a desk where you can't see the display. I ran the cable behind my desk and positioned the display where I can see it....my only problem is that the display won't fit on the little arm on the bracket, its less than a 1/16th of an inch too wide and if I try to force the display onto it I'm afraid the plastic display will crack. I have decided not to ship it back for a replacement because it would probably cost more for shipping than the kit cost. I am giving this 4 stars because I would still recommend buying it because there is a long cable that allows you to put the display where you can see it, so I have no regrets in purchasing it. Had it fit properly I would have giving it 5 stars. Mine was probably just one that didn't get cut to the correct size for the display to slide down onto it. I may try to see if I can get a metal rasp and trim the side of the raised bracket enough that the display will fit.

In order to actually see the display with the bike, you really need this on the desk. It is a critical element of the motivation of the desk bike that you actually see what you're doing...and you can't do it when the information is on the display at your feet.

I recently purchased this extension kit, along with the DeskCyle, for use at work. Because the DeskCycle slides underneath the desk, there is no way to see the monitor if it's mounted near the front of the DeskCycle itself. So this kit resolves that issue. The cord is long enough to easily reach up through the opening in the desktop. The angle of the stand is perfect, and I like the small but easy-to-read size. I would definitely recommend if you want to monitor your progress (miles, calories, time).

There's nothing fancy here, and if you searched, maybe you could get the cable for less money. but it is exactly whay you need, and the stand is nice to have.If you use the supplied stand, and you keep the cycle under your desk, you need a light down there to read it, and you can't see the readout without bending your head, which means stopping pedaling, so you never know your speed.Really, it is a must have if you are going to keep the cycle under your desk.

Definitely worthwhile. Having the monitor at eye level is more convenient. I've had the desk cycle at work for about 2 weeks now and I've biked long distances almost every day (shorter distances were on days with many meetings).You can reset the monitor with your foot but I've found it convenient to make the reset part of my daily startup routine (power up computer, put bag in drawe, etc).The cycle and accessories have been an awesome choice.

If you are going to buy the DeskCycle, then you are going to need this. Go ahead and spend the extra $10 now and save yourself the headache of placing a second order on Amazon because you didn't buy it the first time around. Unless your desk is made of glass and you have nothing on it, you don't be able to see the display screen which tracks your time/speed/distance/etc. A definite compliment to the DeskCycle.

I agree, this is indispensable. I would even go so far as to say that they could include it in the DeskCycle and raise the price to cover it. Looking up and seeing that I've already done almost an hour really motivates me to keep pedaling away!While there is a cord coming out of the DeskCycle, there is also a jack for the extension from this kit-- it's just lower, underneath the front. The review that states that you need an adapter is inaccurate.

Let me start by saying I love the DeskCycle. Great concept, great machine. This display extension is also very nice. Only thing I didn't realize at first was you need to plug the extension cord into the bottom of the machine. The cord coming out of the machine is only used if you attach the display directly to the machine. Thanks to customer service for helping me with that.
