Small Kittenator with Rod - Interchangeable Toy

Both my cats loved the Neko Flies toys as soon as I opened the package. I bought another one so they could both have one. They love to chase the furry mice and will jump and leap for them. Great exercise for my 4-year-old sister and brother cats!

My cat loved it, he was obsessed with it! But it broke after 2 days...

I have purchased several of the Neko Flies cat toys and of all of them this is the favorite. It is well made and just life-like enough that my cats will play with it for extended periods of time without losing interest.I do find it is an expensive item and the wand is too short for the length of the cord. The cord does tend to knot up and wrap around the end of the wand. I do think some improvements could be made in respect to the cord and wand that would make the cost more justifiable.FYI please be careful not to accidentally hit your kitties! When first using this and trying to familiarize myself with this toy I accidentally hit my shin and it was extremely painful. This kittenator has a very hard center that feels like a rock! I am sure it would be very painful to a cat if hit hard.

I just got off the phone with a nice lady at Neko. Some of their toys are made with REAL fur (rabbit and deer). I cannot in good conscious support a company that promotes the use of real fur. Most people now days understand that there is tremendous misery and suffering involved with the fur industry. I don't see how animal lovers/pet owners could condone such horrendous cruelty. Hopefully the Neko company will catch up the times and switch to using only faux fur.

I bouth the one with small kittenator with rod, the samll mouse. I alreay bought another one few months ago and my cats loved it!!One day I realize that the mouse did not have the tail anymore, but I thought it was the lawn mower.I just bought a new one and one of my youngest cat (3 years old) catched it and eat the tail so quickly that I have no chance to take him away.....!!I guess that the material is too soft and is dangeours for the cats beacuse is too easy for them to eat it.I hope nothing wrong will happen with my cat , I feel terrible. Please take care with this toy , maybe I should bought the one with the dragon fly.

Every cat owner should have this toy!I have 4 wonderful chinchilla persians who race around, jump high in the air and try to walk off with the attached mouse! I keep it put away as a special toy and take it out for some quality play time with the felines. This toy allows owner and pet to interact and trust me...your cat will appreciate your attention! When the attachment gets ragged, just buy a replacement Kittenator!Neko Flies offer other attachments as well- cattipede, kragonfly,etc. but this is paws down their favorite!I have attached several replacements to my high cat towers which dangle down so the cats can play by themselves when I am unavailable.

Do I rate this on how my cats like it or on the quality of product? I wanted to give it a 3 for the Cat-Love rating but it just doesn't seem fair. My boys love the other Neko Kittenator, I mean LOVE it but this one was (I'm just guessing here) just too big and offerred too much "drag" time so it was easier to catch and less intriguing.But that's so personal to the cats you have. I ended up cutting off the tail and lost the wind-drag and -- Bam! We were back in Business in no time. So the four stars are just so you'd know my experience with the cats but the product is really a five!!

Kitten likes the foxifur but not nearly as much as the rod toy with feathers. This toy has double strength stronger string and a sturdy rod. It is holding up very well. I will soon purchase other interchangable toys.
