Concerned With Quality and Usability
I purchased the grabbers to grab items off the shelf in my laundry room above my washer & dryer. Since my washer & dryer sticks out quite a bit, it's very difficult for me to get to items without having to use a step stool. I was hoping this would be my saving grace, but unfortunately no.First, I was disappointed in the lack of weight this grabber can handle. I could not find information on how much weight could be managed by this so I did some simple tests. First I tried to grab a Mrs Meyers bottle of fabric softener which is about 32oz. No go. It was difficult to grab and hold onto and would fall through the grabbers. Then I tried something lighter like a bottle Mrs Meyers Multi-Surface Cleaner which is 16oz and converts to a weight of about 1.22lbs, and this was a struggle. I did not feel the grabbing was secure. So for reference, this product might work for you if you're picking up something under 1 pound.Second, I was concerned with the quality of the product. It does not seem rugged to withstand constant use and was concerned that it would bend or the grabbing mechanism would break. I also did not feel comfortable using on anything that could be damaged if it fell through.Lastly, I was a little disappointed by the Seller. I received an item that looked like a return. The box was open, the seal was not there, and the item had several scratches all over it.So for my purposes, this unfortunately will not work. But at least you have the data of approximately how much weight this can possibly handle.

Very comfortable for anyone with hand issues. Easily picks up small items.
After much research, I selected this item and have no regrets. I take it when we do our daily walks at the park. I've not picked up anything particularly heavy so can't say how it will hold up for that type of item. It has a good grip for small items and closes firmly. I pick up paper, bits of plastic, glass, hair ties, bottles, etc. I have the 30" which is a perfect length for my 5'3" height. I easily pick up and drop items in the small plastic shopping bag I carry for that purpose. Today, one of the park's maintenance workers thanked me for picking up trash!I frequently have pain in my dominant hand at the base of the thumb so really needed something that would not strain that area. Grabber Buddy is easy to use and I feel no strain on my hand. This is the only model of this grip type I found. My only concern is that the gripper part is plastic, so time will tell how long it lasts. I hope it lasts a long time because this is something I use almost daily and like very much.

A very agile tool, that is fun to use, especially as you find jobs other grabbers can't do.
Great Grabber tool, even compared to those at higher prices. It's sleek, light, and easy to handle. The best advantage of the unit's sleek profile is in working in tight spaces. It solved a plumbing blockage for me, in under a minute - that I had tried a few different types of grabbers on, over a few hours period. When these grabber jaws are closed, they will reach into a pipe (a drain pipe for instance) with as small as a 2" inside diameter, for up to a 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 foot depth, depending on grabbers length. And with room left to open, and to grip, up to a 1/4" thick, to grab a dowel, stick, or whatever type of object or debris. Of course, a larger inside diameter opening would allow the gripper to open further and grab thicker objects This tool will also fit easily through a 1 inch wide slot (if the slot is wide enough in the other dimension - 2 to 4 or more inches), and potentially recover objects up to 4 inches long (the maximum width of the jaws).

The Long Reach
This reacher is very long at 48" but it's what I needed to grab things that had fallen back behind the washer and dryer and couldn't be retrieved without having to move either machine which wasn't optimal to perform. Using this was much easier and worked great. However, it isn't flexible and you'll have to make sure you have 4 ft of height or length or width or more to clear your retrieval process or have an extra pair of hands ready to assist once something is grabbed. So, this length may not always be the right choice to work with if you find you're reaching for something often it may not be ideal for all scenarios, so, probably good to have a this long one and a shorter one for different scenarios or tasks. Otherwise, it's sturdy, strong and works well. It's versatile with being able to move the handle to 2 different positions. The spring on the handle seems strong and the grasping worked well with the rubberized grab arms. Should provide years of use when needed.

Junk...going in trash can! Bought and sent to my uncle’s house to use on his return home after surgery. Item arrived bent and not usable. Amazon refused to replace.

Very robust. Seems like they'll last a long time.
I bought these to mainly pick up sticks out of my 1+ acre yard. I have about 20 large trees and they are always dropping sticks and small dead branches. They need to be picked up before mowing and bending over a hundred times is not an option I want to explore. (I save my back for golf!)These grabbers reliably grasp any size stick and are easy and positive to use. I've picked up sticks smaller than a pencil and much larger than a baseball bat and they worked great on both. Not knowing the durability, I bought two. I'll use one until it falls apart (if it ever does) and then use the other. Been about four months so far and the first one is still going strong after hundreds of sticks. Great value tool.

Can’t pickup much weight.
An average can of beans bust the handle of this grabber. I don’t recommend unless you’re only using it to pickup pine cones or feather.

By far the Best Grabber I've ever Used
Whats not to like about it, its fairly priced, does exactly what is says it will do, is designed and built well, fits in tight spots and is usable in close spaces, and so forth, I purchased another one
