Pegasus PG7050-1/72 American History: Gold Mining Figures

To the individuals in the comments that said these are tiny and unpainted that is true. It's not a toy you can just take out of the package and start using this is something for a hobbyist someone that has the equipment to paint them someone that understands what scale is . These are not a child's toy , and they should understand that before complaining that they are too small and unpainted . I've ordered sets from this company before and found them to be of good quality and accurate in scale and I will continue to purchase them in the future . And I appreciate that they are unpainted so that I can apply color to them to fit my particular theme of a diorama.

I have a HO scale (1:87) train setup, and I matched this kit to a few of my characters. This set matches really close. There is some assembly required, but should not be an issue with an avid modeler or some that has built a few models. Painting is required - I suggest using a black wash after normal painting to give the pieces that weathered look - also use flat paint. I like the option to paint, that way I have a choice what color to use. Overall a great kit. Highly recommend for any model set or diorama scene.

First off, It's unfortunate that many people down vote model sets like this based on their own erroneous assumptions about what it will or will not be. This is a great product by a great company.The set has several high points, including 4 great pack mules, and several obviously Chinese prospectors in traditional kit. There are several prospectors actively panning for gold or running sluice boxes, and several more carrying picks and shovels. Any would also fight right in to any other 1/72 American west setting such as the Imex sets.My only criticism is the hardness of the plastic. This makes for some tense moments clipping things off the sprue, and also means extra care has to be taken with fragile shovel and picks. Making them out of the softer plastic they use for model sets such as USMC in Vietnam 1965 Soldiers Set (40) (Plastic Kit) 1-72 Pegasus would have been an improvement in my opinion.

I was so happy these came 4 days earlier than expected. Also, the figurines must be painted. They do not come like the picture and paint and glue not included.

These were stupid tiny little plastic figures that you had to break off of these plastic racks. They weren't even assembled and you had to push the arm into the body or the leg into the body and half the time they didn't even fit. There is absolutely no mention in the product description that these pieces do not come pre-painted. This was for a child's school project, who in the hell has that kind of time to buy a magnifying glass and a tiny paintbrush and sit there and paint these figurines? I feel like it was misrepresented and Amazon should no longer carry it. It wasn't even worth my time to ship back to the sender because it only cost $10, the cost of returning and the time involved nullified doing so. Worst purchase ever.

The figures are teeny-tiny, and it is so hard to "assemble" such small parts together--such as the arms of one miner to his body--actually, it was ridiculous that someone thought this was even entirely possible. Box also says that you can paint them--I cannot see how this is even possible when they are smaller than the size of my pinky finger! Really disappointed that I had to pay $11 (and some wanted $30!).

Just as expected from reviews. Figures are very small, some assembly required. Glue, a fine paintbrush and paint will complete your project.

The models were fine, BUT they come as yellow plastic figures..........Had to gesso them and then paint them, trust me, it wasn't easy.....Using a magnafying glass to look through......Turned out great, but took alot of time to do.........
