I love this bread so much. A little slice of my childhood in Germany. It's important to toast it a bit to bring out the best flavor. (Even if you later eat it cold.)

Been buying this bread for years from our local co-op but they decided not to keep it in stock. So found it here and bought a box. It lasts longer than the pull date, is wholesome and filling. Great toasted too with honey and PNB.

Love it for open-faced sandwiches, or with peanut butter, or goat cheese and figs. It reminds me of home!
