Although the item I received is functionally the same, it was quite different. Even though this was more expensive, I ordered this particular item because in needed the longer fitting for my use. Be aware this item does not look like the picture.

Very well made but did not fit my needs

Works well for ataching a hose to a shower. I use it for doing laundry in my old school wringer washer. The only reason why I give it a 4 is because if you tighten it really hard it makes slight cuts in your hand. So be careful. I recommend putting it on your hose first that on the shower. If you do it the other way it makes it tighter on the shower. Tight enough that you have to struggle to get it off.

I love this adapter. We simply unscrew the tub faucet and hook up the hose that we run through the window for the toddler pool.

This little piece of brass is making my life so much easier. This will allow you to connect a standard garden hose to a standard shower head. If you have a large aquarium somewhere in your apartment/house, and you are sick of lugging buckets of water around to do cleanings and re-fillings, get this adapter. Pro-tip: use one of those expandable flexible hoses for easy storage and easy maneuvering around doors.

It was delivered to me earlier than the date notified. The part is of excellent quality, solid brass, fits very well. Served the purpose.
