I bought these boots from another seller because Amazon did not have my size. I wear a 9M in all Old Gringo footwear; 9.5M in all other brands. Before I actually pulled the trigger and spent the $$ for these boots, I did some research. Like reviewers said, the part of the boot where your foot makes the bend at the ankle to get it in the shoe part of the boot is tricky. After two attempts, I used the suggestion a boot dealer gave me and used an old plastic grocery bag to put the boots on. Slip the grocery over your foot, and stick it in the boot. YAY! I'll be damned, it worked!!! Once in, the boot fit PERFECT! I can wear socks or not, both ways, a perfect fit. So don't worry about not being able to get your foot in if you read all those reviews. This pair of boots is made with beautiful, fragrant leather. The "Trans Am" bird is actually leather! It is not embroidered. And the Red and Yellow colors in the bird? Not stitched either, it is little strips of leather hand sewn into the design. Absolutely beautiful craftmanship. These boots are worth every penny! The leather is soft, and flexible; it is the deepest most rich color of brown. I was lucky and snagged these babies at 20% on a different web site. Big deal if my family will be eating Mac-n-Cheese for a month!!!!
