Les Fantaisies de Patricia Petibon

Another fantastic album and performance by Patricia Petibon, very good and interesting repertoire (well apart from Jubilant Song), everything sounds very well, very much enjoying it, it's a kind of album you want to listen over and over, really glad I decided to get it.

An eclectic selection of songs and arias sung by the French soprano.This certainly makes an interesting introduction to Petibon`s clear and attractive voice; the selection covers ancient and modern repertoire with the singer in company with other voices and on four tracks the American Boychoir.My favourite track is the “Air de la Folie” from Platée by Rameau (taken from her album of French baroque arias) which she sings in a delightfully unhinged manner.Texts and translations are included in the booklet notes.The CD has a playing time of 63.42 minutes.*Note that this is a compilation album with tracks that have appeared in other CDs featuring the artist.
