Great flat pedal.
UPDATE - Jan 2019 - entering my second season with these pedals on two bikes. I have had zero issues with either pedal set, all studs remain in place and the bearings are perfect. This is my first pair of flat pedals. These are an affordably priced, high quality component. I installed them upon arrival and rode with them the next day. Although I normally ride clipless, these were comfortable and I felt attached to the bike. They look great too - the blue really pops on my bike. Based on the reports of losing the studs, I decided to remove each stud, apply a drop of blue thread locker, and reinstall. The three spare studs is a nice touch and I love the simple cardboard box packaging. I am very impressed so far.I've got a few miles on these now and can confirm that these are pretty damn nice, so nice that I decided to buy another set for my hybrid and pack the clipless pedals away.

easily worth twice the price and amazing customer service
When I first received these I was immensely pleased. The quality and function was equal to or superior than some Specialized 70 plus dollar pedals. Sadly after about a week of riding an end cap fell off and exposed the inside to possible damage. I contacted the company and expressed a bit of dismay that it would take up to 2 weeks for them to send me a replacement end cap. The company stepped up to the plate and simply shipped me a new set for free without requiring I return the older set with a missing piece. So now I guess I have some spare parts if I ever need them. Certainly not every item no matter how well made can be perfect, but when a company does what it can to make it right (in this case more than right!) that is customer service! I highly recommend these pedals. I am a relatively new mountain biker!

Great pedals for a great price
I own a new 2017 XXL Specialized Camber FSR 29er mountain bike. The basic pedal that come with the bike are the standard hardened plastic black pedals with a few little ridges for added traction. I replaced those pedals with the Bonmixc pedals because they are a little bigger (I have a size 14 shoe), and because the grip is significantly better! With the original pedals it was easy to slide your feet across the pedals into a better position while riding. On the Bonmixc pedals you have to physically raise your foot slightly to reposition your feet. The traction screws are metal alloy and stick up an eight of an inch. It does take time to become proficient doing this while riding uphill. In general you need to get in position before the hill gets too steep or it will be very difficult to shift your feet around. Its almost like having clip-on pedals. The pedals also look great and have a fancy gold colored screw on the outside-center of the pedal that provides a nice accent color. For the price these pedals are great. Paying an extra $100 to save one-third of an ounce is foolish. The slight weight saving will not make you ride faster, it just means you have less money in your pocket...

Nice pedals, but for my road bike, not my mountain bike
Light pedals with smooth bearings. I use them on my mountain bike. They grip to my shoes very well. Since I'm not a very serious rider, they will last a long time.Update: After using them for a while, I determined that not having spikes near the crank, either side of the shaft, reduces how well my shoes stick to the pedals. I ended up going back to VP's, because they have a spike on either side of the shaft near the crank. The Bonmixc pedals look much better, and are still good, but I prefer my VP's. NOTE: the description says ROAD BIKE Pedals, not mountain bike (I missed that!), so I may be unfair here. I plan on trying them on my road bike. I'm betting they'll be great for that.

Fatigue break
They looked all right and the traction wasn’t bad. However the right pedal snapped on me today on a palm canyon ride. It looks like the shaft just died due to fatigue. I wouldn’t buy these pedals for serious riding. Probably obvious to most people but a learning experience for me.After writing this review, a rep reached out to me to offer a replacement or refund. They also said they would take steps to improve their manufacturing process. I requested a refund and they put it through right away. I have since received three communications requesting I update this review to remove the two stars. I'm of mixed feelings about that. I appreciate the refund, but that doesn't change my impression of the pedals themselves. Buy them for casual around-the-town riding, don't buy them for cross country or downhill. Note that I did buy these in late 2016. If there are a lot of more recent positive reviews, then maybe that's a good sign.

they snapped
pedals were fine until today. left pedal snapped.i dont ride a whole lot so should have not snapped like this. i mostly do fire trails so smooth riding. this happened as i stopped at the top getting ready for the fast 1000 foot downhill. i could have had a very serious crash.

Too sticky for Spiderman!
Good looking, light weight, strong, and grip superheroes would endorse (if they existed).I wear Merrell Trail Glove 3 shoes, which are NOT designed for cycling. With the stock plastic pedals (yeah, I know, they're not actually for off-road use) it seemed like my feet were constantly slipping off, but it's all I've ever used on an MTB, so what did I know? Now that I'm using these things, shredding has become much less scary. I actually have to think about, and consciously lift my foot from the pedal to re-adjust my stance, no more simply sliding my foot into place. You COULD spend $100 more on a super sick set of pedals that weigh like 40g less (or roughly two gulps of H2O), but these will shred your shins with the best of them, if you somehow manage to remove your foot from them.I am recommending these pedals to YOU, right NOW!
