Hager3 X Downlighter Junction Box, White, Plastic, Modern, Recessed

I used this simply to safely link together two sets of LED meteor shower Christmas lights, so that the power units were powered from one 13A plug - a proper one, not the dangerous-looking rubbish supplied with the kit - with a long enough cable to reach the site of the lights. I now feel able to leave the room when the lights are on, rather than standing by anxiously waiting for the 13A socket to explode.

I used this item with a light fitting that I purchased here on amazon. Made it easy to wire everything, I would use this system again as it was much cheaper optionthsn some others.The minor issue I had was the box was larger than I thought, I had to make a larger hole in the ceiling inorder to fit it through into the cavity. I'm no pro though... But keep in mind the dimensions of the box for people using it with lights that have a small ceiling cap footprint.

I have used two of these now. They have all the terminals you need to replace a ceiling rose with a flush mounted light. Just wire it up and push it into the ceiling. It does also have a mounting hole so you could screw it to a joist if you had access.They look kind of big, but you wouldn't be able to work with it if it were any smaller.Just be sure to take a photo/make notes of the wiring in the rose first. In my case, the electrician before me used the same colour wires for all the connections!

Can’t give any other review. Other than Seems to be what I need for the light fitting. May have an actual honest review when my partner puts the light up. Although that could be give or take another 6 month to a year. I shall let you know

I know that the dimensions are stated, but it's much smaller than I expected, doh! The connectors are rather small and a bit awkward to deal with, but the cable clamping is decent. Coronavirus has meant that I couldn't buy locally - I suppose it's never as good to buy online for this kind of item.

These are the best boxes I’ve used. The only reason I marked them 4 stars is because the price is quite high compared to other suppliers. I needed them quite quickly so paid the price to get next day.

Smart and very easy to install although a bit tight for 4 lines ( line in, line out switch and lamp) especially when the lamp manufacturer uses an earth

A good quality, robustly made and well designed distribution box.A perfect alternative for the typical lighting rose available from your high street hardware store.The distribution box has plenty of terminations to handle most combinations of domestic switched lighting and bathroom ventilation circuit arrangements. The terminals are segregated, labelled and the box has ample space for routing wires.This product is excellently priced and I will purchase more in the future.
