Hush Puppies

This is the 4th pair I have had and they are wonderful. I got my first pair in 1999 by chance at a clearance store near Myrtle Beach. At the time I had just been promoted to Lab Supervisor at the company I work for and spend a lot of time on my feet walking on concrete floors in a wet environment. They were great light and durrable. In 2003 I bought 2 pair a brown and a black pair. These shoes are rock solid. I still have the last pair of black shoes and wear them the only part that wears out is the souls. I have put a lot of miles on my hushpuppies and they keep going. These shoes are more comfortable than any other. I wear them to church to work to the mall to go fishing, hunting or what ever. I don't wear them constantly but I do choose to a lot. I have rockports rebocks, nikes, timberlands and redwings I wear them all but these hushpuppies are my favorites. I have diabettes so good comfortable foot wear is a must. I have not been able to find these in the local stores an cane to amazon finally. I will buy more from here

Have been wearing Gus Hushpuppies almost exclusively for years. Have owned them in brown, black, tan , black suede & brown suede . An attractive looking shoe that will more or less pass for a dress shoe but is as comfortable as a pair of sneakers and almost weightless . Only draw back is that the soft soles eventually wear through . Fit may vary a little and require just a little breaking in but a small price to pay for a shoe that looks classy and is almost like going barefoot . I operate a music retail store, install sound systems, perform at clubs and parties and run sound for churches & other venues , and with the Hushpuppies GUS am able to comfortably and presentably wear the same shoe for all occasions .

I wear size 9 D/E shoes and prefer soft cushion over leather/rubber cushion. Though I do agree that this shoe isn't very fashionable, it is by far, the most comfortable formal shoes I've ever worn. The cushion of the insole and the shoe color are soft and fluffy. The tow cap is wide and spacey which fits perfectly with my size feet. The shoe itself is almost as light as a jogging shoe and it's not stiff at all. You don't have to break it in or drag it around like those heavy and stiff dress shoes out there. The only problem I have with this shoe is that it didn't last as long as I would expect it to last. The sole's cushion degraded significantly after a month use and the leather outside the boot begin to wrinkle after 4 months. The shoe manage to last 7 months on my watch before I have to buy a new one. Considering how comfortable it is, I'd say it's worth it. I'm already making another purchase as I write this review.

As I approach 50 I could care less what my dress shoes look like...I just want them comfy! And I'm sorry...but it's not like size 14 extra wide shoes are everywhere. My wife is less than thrilled that I have yet another pair of "old man shoes" to wear to work...but I don't really care, haha! I work in an industry where it's still "white shirt and tie" 4 days a week...and "casual friday" is a blue dress shirt! It's just the way it is, I accept that. If I could, I'd wear tennis shoes to work and scrubs but I chose finance over medicine and that's that. These shoes are a little tough on my feet at first - but that's probably from all my running and other training I do - my feet are generally sore a few days a week when the monthly mileage creeps up over 70-80 miles, so I can't blame these shoes. I can say they are supple when broke in for a few days and the leather is equal to any good leather when polishing them. I don't find my feet hot in these shoes at all, and I don't find any points that cause friction or pain. I am thankful to have found these and I may just buy another pair right away to put up for when these wear out in a few years!

Awesome new shoes! Comfortable, stylish, and easy-to-wear. The fit is superb, especially since the effects of gravity have apparently caused my feet to widen. Plenty of room for toes, heels and all the other parts in these shoes! They are also light as can be considering they appear to be large and clunky. Not so! The soles are thick and the shoe sturdy and well-made, but, still, light as a feather!

My husband has been wearing this particular shoe for a few years now and is very happy with them. He walks to and from work every day (approximately 1 mile each way) and he tells me that these are very light and comfortable. I will agree with some of the other reviewers that they don't last as long as some of the walking type shoes but the overall comfort of the shoe makes them worth the purchase. By the way, the Amazon price is excellent and the lowest that I have ever seen them for.

These shoes are very comfortable and fit very well. If I was reviewing them based on that, they would easily be a 5 star shoe for me. For me, these shoes just break down very easily. I have black and brown, and I wear each roughly 3 times a week for work. They see about 30 hours of a wear a week, but most of that I'm sitting down at a desk. The current brown pair that I have lasted about a year and I had to order new ones because there's just no traction anymore. The slightest bit of water and I slip. In an office that's not too big of an issue but having almost fallen multiple times in one day recently, it prompted me to order. I wish that for the price that they would last a bit longer, but they are very comfortable. If you're in better shape they might, I'm a pretty big guy which probably doesn't help.

Schnelle Lieferung. Gute Retoure Abwicklung. Die Schuhe fallen größer aus, aber eher in der Breite. Wenn man die richtige Größe gefunden hat mit Sicherheit ein sehr komfortabler Schuh. Fühlt sich wertig an.

I received the Hush Puppies today in perfect condition. The fit over my braces is like a glove and they are practically weightless. They are a very stylish shoe that'll fit in any situation. The nicest shoe I've tried yet.
