Great series
I really enjoyed the series. This is a complete series, RH paranormal romance with lots of steam and an HEA.Riel (Gabriela) is a fiery Latina witch/fae hybrid. Her birth and quest was foretold 500 yrs before. She was raised as a witch, but since she had glitch magic, she was raised in human society. Her mom pretty much disowned her, which is not typical in her culture. Families are everything. At 18she gets wings, but hides them. She's shocked because she was never told she was part fae. She is later discredit attend a fae acadrmy. There she meets her Virgo (fated mates). Seph (Joseph),Matt (Matthew) and Dan (Daniel) are all fae warriors. The group gets turned upside down, they are betrayed at every turn, they persevere anyway. Entertaining throughout, lots of action in and out of the bedroom, storyline is unique and the characters are interesting. Plenty of battles and humor as well. Recommend. Strong female lead.

Fun and adventurous read
Normally I get bored with a series by the last book but this one kept me entertained. I will say it was a little disappointing that we didn't get to the I love you's, just the feeling that it was coming. The relationships were fun and the guys stood out enough that I was able to keep them differentiated. I will say I absolutely adore that she didn't become some Mary Sue of a character that completely changed for the better. The characters were real and flawed, and the ending wasn't all conveniently tied up in a perfect bow. All in all this was a thoroughly enjoyable read I would definitely recommend.

I tried
I tried, valiantly but I just could not finish the book. I made it more than half way before I finally skipped to the end. I stopped at 90% and saw that there was absolutely no way the book could end in the last 10% so I skipped all the way to the end. And I’m honestly glad I did. What I read at 90% (the breaking of the stone) should have occurred much much earlier. That way the visits weren’t glazed over. The first 50% was full of filler. Which tells me that in order to visit all four houses and call the elements then take back the magic being written in the last 10% of the book were mishandled as well. And last but not least that ridiculous prologue. Is it too much to ask for a happy ending? I hate my job and my life but I like my Virgo is not a happy ending. And I hate kids but surprise you are 18 weeks pregnant is not a happy ending. I’m seriously starting to doubt this author.

Slow and steady
This collection is great to binge on, specially if you’re a quick reader. While the story is definitely captivating, I felt it drag at a few areas where I skimmed through. I was still able to keep up with the story and didn’t feel like I missed anything of importance. Good read with a snarky and sassy FMC through and through until the very end.

Wow what a world
PNR /RH romance is on of favorite tropes in the romance world. Serena truly out did my original thoughts regarding this book. This was a re-read for me and I fell in love with Riel and her Virgo all over again. The things they go through and the passion is just amazing.

Great story!
A fast fun story that I didn’t want to end. The MC is down to earth and so real and her Virgo....sexy and hot and enough to make you jealous! I just love Serena Akeroyd!

The Ascended
A boxed set of three books in this trilogy set. Not your typical fae story at all pretty unique. Enjoyed it.

Slow start but great ending
This trilogy is a very interesting read. I really enjoyed the way she gets her Virgo men. I like the way her magic builds. I like how this series deals with inadequacies in society and aims to fix them. The first book starts slowly. There is very little action but as the series grows so does the 'action' and I mean that in every sense of the word. There are some raunchy parts but it's RH after all. But there are also some funny scenes. Anyone who has had a family ever understands how difficult they can be sometimes and I love that this is part of the story. Families are messy. Four families coming together... Crazy. This trilogy has a HEA but each part is left on a cliffhanger so just keep going.I love the way that the who generations whilst named after each other get distinct names so you know which one is which! Helpful. All in all a great magical read with a kick ass witchy woman, 3 sexy fae men, some crazy families and some insane locations. It was a good read that I struggled to put down.I think if more happened in the first part I'd have given this 5 stars. Still a great read.

Good read
I have to say, the beginning of this book was really really slow to start and I didn’t feel like there was much going on. It was mostly monologue and that did become very annoying. I was tempted to stop reading at that point. I’m glad I pushed forward and continued to read as the book got sooo much better. Love the premise of this book. It was different to other books I’ve read in the paranormal, elemental genre.Give it a go. You won’t be disappointed.I’m giving 3 and 1/2 stars due to the long winded beginning and also there are a few questions I’d like answers to. Other than that, this was a good read

Brilliant trilogy!
Gabriella is a witch who suddenly turns into a witch born fae and is forced to attend eight wings academy for the fae. Gabriella absolutely hates fae for how they control witches and wants out but for some reason no matter as hard she tries to fail it is not working. She must hide the fact that she is a born witch and also the fact that she has developed a virgo mate bond with three other fae

So boring
I really wanted to like this book, it had potential. However I got to 113 pages in and I am so bored. Nothing is happening, it’s dull. It is basically a pointless book.
