Great value for the price, came with screws etc to affix it to a wall. I didn’t even realize it was double sided at first— which was a nice surprise for me. Dry easy to clean, highly compatible with cedar markers and a magic eraser. Easy to clean.Be careful when you open it from the plastic, do not use a knife or sharp object of any kind, the wood is somewhat sensitive and easy to Knick or cut, but you can easily buff, smooth it out or fill in any cuts. I’d just say be careful.Definitely a good bang for my buck !

I liked that it was large and not heavy. I don’t think this chalk board could take rough kids but civilized kids should be fine.

This thing was way better quality than I expected, considering the low price tag. I was basically expecting a chalkboard that was one step above cardboard and instead this turned out to be quite sturdy and well put-together. Yeah, the wood grain is stuck on and not real, but, seriously, it’s a chalkboard not a work of art - it’s meant to be utilitarian. It’ll do the job it’s meant to just fine and look good doing it, and I imagine it’ll last quite awhile, too! Easy to hang, hardware and measuring tape (cheap paper ruler) were included. I’m not handy and was able to hang it up without a problem.

Simple chalkboard but functional . I used it outdoors knowing it is intended for indoor use. It didn’t last long but that is my own fault.

Pretty upset that this did not come with the hardware, as it was supposed to. BUT for my son's use, I simply drilled one hold in each corner of the board (I was nervous that I would crack the board or the fake wood frame, but both survived nicely), then screwed it into place... this also took care of the issue others had about the bottom of the board wiggling around. No movement on it now! Maybe the missing hardware was a blessing in disguise...Prepped the board quickly by using the broad side of a stick of chalk, and covering the entire board with smooth, even, vertical strokes, then smeared the chalk in with a tissue, and erased completely with a new eraser. Don't know if that really helps or not, but I figured I'd do what I've heard you're supposed to do with all new chalkboards.I find the surface of the board to be smooth and dark, and the chalk is writing on it nicely. There is good contrast between the chalk and the board, so drawings/writing is clear. I'm not using any fancy chalk here... just "Alex Toys Chubby Rainbow Chalk," ( Rainbow Chalk (Set of 4) ) which come in holders and are sold here on Amazon. My little guy is already having a blast coloring on his new chalkboard.Overall, this is a great price for a really generously sized chalkboard for young kids. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, since it's for a 2-year-old and I wanted to use it outdoors, in the clubhouse of his swing set. It fits perfectly in there, just drilled/screwed in in, and now my son has one more thing to do up there! So even though I was bummed about the hardware originally, I'm very happy I purchased this!

Really good quality board. The size is perfect for my needs. Very smooth surface, but resilient enough that the chalk does not leave deep traces. Each side has a groove in the wooden frame to place the chalk, which is really very thoughtfully made and very practical. I am very glad I made the right choice and the price is right. I highly recommend it either for children or for your studies or classes.

I highly recommend this product for mom’s during COVID19. It is large and has a ridge for chalk. This is not a heavy duty chalkboard nor does it need to be for home use. Mounting it on a wall will fortify it. I had it sitting in a dining room chair for daily school lessons and it did the trick. Go for it !

I run a day care and have this up at kid level so they can do chalk work whenever they would like! And it has held up over lots of use! I am very happy with this board, I even bought one for my niece to for her bedroom. The size is just right for the kiddos too. I attached it to the wall and it is not coming down. It would be nice if the ledge was a bit bigger so it could hold bigger chalk but this holds the small class room chalk just fine. And the chalk wipes of fine, and I use just a damp cloth to really get it back to its shining newness.I would get again if needed very happy with this purchase.
