X (3-in-1 Edition), Vol. 1: Includes vols. 1, 2 & 3 (X (3-in-1))

I have been hearing about X since it was in Animerica Extra, though I was only 9 years old, and my mother would not allow me to read it. By the time I went off on my own anime and manga escapades, it had been cancelled, and I saw no point. Now it is 9 years later, I am 21, and since the anime was on sale at Funimation Channel for only $15, I decided I would give it a try. Being that I was in love with the anime, I decided to check out the manga as well.The series is utterly breathtaking. Not that it's surprising, considering CLAMP is the author. This omnibus version is everything I could possibly ask for. You're getting 3 volumes of a manga series for less than $20. When I bought it it was $13. That's more than half the price it would have been to buy 3 separate volumes back in the day when this was first published. Actually, I believe that each individual volume may have been that much! So you're basically getting three volumes for the price of one! Buy one get two free anyone? PLUS there are beautiful color pages. I was worried about the binding because it is 3 volumes combined into one paperback book, but as long as you're just a little bit careful, there shouldn't be much worry. I believe this book is here to stay for a long time.As for the story, I absolutely love it! There are some philosophical questions, and statements to consider in your everyday life if you are a human being that could not be posed as gracefully by anyone other than CLAMP in this series. The answer to this question may seem obvious: Who would you fight for? Humanity or the Earth? Most people would easily say "humanity," but the characters in X bring up some good points for either side. This is not a story about good and evil, as in this story there is no good or evil. The Seven Seals and the Seven Angels are just supernatural beings living their lives according to their own beliefs and desires. It's nice to see 14+ people come across so HUMAN in a manga/anime sometimes. The main protagonist is one of the most selfish characters I have ever read about, and I love him for it.There is only one downside to this manga, in my opinion. I feel that the development of the story takes quite awhile. It's interesting enough to convince you to click on the next chapter/episode, but only if it's readily available. Had I been watching this episode by episode on Crunchyroll, or reading it online as it was being published, I don't think I would have cared enough to keep up with it. That's why I am very glad that I could buy it all at once and have three volumes right there for me to get into. It is definitely something worth reading once you get a little farther into the story.

When I was child I read a part of this book. And then I never forget about this book. I liked very much Kamui and Kotori.This book is really beautiful, I liked the color pages. They are very gorgeousBut some picture is grotesque (if someone don't like take care), but if clamp's fan may like this series. I'm waiting for other 2 volumes. And, I hope to Clamp to continue and finish this book.

Doesn't matter I love any work from Clamp it seems. This one is pretty bloody and disturbing! But I'll continue it!

A good story with good art. The going gets a little dense at times with a lot of stuff going on but I found that if you put in a little work it is well worth it.

X is one of clamps greatest achievements in manga history and now I see why. I won't give away anything but X is becoming one of my favorite manga.

the story is really enjoyable... the fate of a guy and his decision either wrong or right for him could mean the end of humanity or the salavation for the earth. RECOMMENDED 99%

When I first got the book, I flipped it open to a random page to admire the art and nostalgia of rereading this series after years.Imagine my surprise when this almost $20 book instantly fell apart in my hands. The cover separated from the binding and the book itself (the pages) split into two separate chunks.I had to return it and request a new book from Amazon. Hopefully the next book isn't as cheaply bound.

Main reason is created by Clamp. Again he has done a magical world that is full of surprises. Outstanding work of manga.

X, also known as X/1999, is a manga by CLAMP that started in 1992 but has never been completed. It's been on hiatus since March 2003. I believe that CLAMP do have an ending for it so I haven't lost hope that they will one day complete it.This edition contains the first 3 volumes and it reads right to left. It also contains a lot of colour pages!At the back of the book is a character list and some notes about the translation of a few words and the illustrations.It is rated T+ for Older teens (16+) due to graphic violence, adult situations, nudity, mature theme, language etc.It's the darkest CLAMP story to date. Definitely a must buy for any CLAMP fan.The book quality is amazing. It is taller and wider than a normal manga volume. The cover has a glossy coat and appears exactly like in the picture with just "X CLAMP I 3-in-1" on the front. The coloured pages are perfect. They appear at the start of each volume so they help split the huge book into 3.Basically, X is about the end of the earth.(Slight spoilers ahead)There are 2 groups, "The Dragons of Heaven" are trying to save the world whilst the "The Dragons of Earth" are trying to destroy it.X follows Kamui Shiro, a teenager who after his mother died, returned to Tokyo. Her dying wish was for Kamui to change fate. He is the only one able to do it. The Dragons of Heaven are the first to find Kamui. They are guided by Hinoto, a dream-gazer who foretold the world ending. Her sister, Kanoe guides The Dragons of Earth. Kamui has to decide whether he wants to save the earth or simply destroy it. But all he wants to do is protect his childhood friends, Kotori and Fuma Monou so he chooses to join The Dragons of Heaven and save the earth. Unfortunately, this awakens Fuma's powers and he kills his sister Kotori and swears to kill Kamui. Will Kamui be able to battle Fuma to save the earth? Will the earth be saved?Tokyo Babylon is a sort of prequel to this. Subaru Sumeragi and Seishiro Sakurazuka who first appeared in Tokyo Babylon finish their fight in X.You don't need to read Tokyo Babylon in order to understand X. It just helps with understanding Subaru's background. I recommend reading Tokyo Babylon though just because it's one of my favourites.There are 18 single volumes of X so that means that there will be 6 3-in-1 editions.The art is beautiful, I say this for every CLAMP series I review but it's the only word I can think of to describe it. The backgrounds, the coloured pages, the character designs. Everything is beautiful.I'm a huge CLAMP fan so when I saw a 3-in-1 version of X, I had to buy it.If you've read Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, you would have seen some characters from X appearing in there.CLAMP also have a volume full of short stories called  Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland . In that manga, there is a chapter called "Miyuki-chan in X Land". Where Miyuki basically takes Kamui's place for a few pages. It's worth buying if you're a fan of X.Overall, this book is amazing. A vast improvement over the single volumes for the series. If you already own those, you may want to think about upgrading to this.If you are new to X, this is a perfect start. The story can be a little confusing at times but it is incredible even without the ending.If you have watched the film or TV anime, I recommend reading the manga too as it is different. Miyuki-Chan in Wonderland

🤩 El tomo es mucho mas grande de lo que esperaba así que se puede apreciar mejor el arte. Cada "tomo" esta dividido por varias hojas a color, no tiene sobrecubierta pero aun así la edición es muy hermosa.Lo compre por mera curiosidad pero no esperaba que me gustara tanto. Ya quiero el el tomo 2P.D. El manga llego en perfecto estado 🤟

Now I have not read this yet so I cannot give any spoilers. Initial impressions wow, its bigger than your standard manga which is great because this means bigger print. Easier to read. The pages feel good quality as does the shiny front cover. All i know about this particular manga is that it was never finished and now it is. It will come in the form of 6 3-in-1 edition books (GREAT!!!!). AS always with CLAMP the artwork is fantastic and in this 3-in-1 edition it has color pages inbetween each chapter which i have to say look amazing. Now im going to go read it!

Asombroso!! me gusto mucho el contenido, soy un fan de la serie y cumplió mis expectativas, tiene muchas páginas, de hecho son 3 mangas en un solo volume, lo que facilita mucho el poder leerlo comodamente, las hojas tienen buena calidad y los gráficos están excelentes, cabe destacar que tiene un buen tamaño y calidad de impresión, ademas de que viene en inglés, esta muy legible, vale la pena tenerlo para quien es fan de las autoras CLAMP y les guste esta serie.
