El Gaucho Seasoning

I first had this El Gaucho spice, a few years ago when I was given a can of it, after a dinner that I had at the El Gaucho restaurant here in Seattle Wa. I finished this can a few weeks ago, sadly so because I LOVE this spice. I was happy to find it here so, I purchased a can of it. It arrived secured within a box and the spice itself is in a really nice square tin can that, fits well in a cupboard by my stove. It has a net wt. of 6.5 oz. Thanks, S

I made two ribeyes using this El Gaucho seasoning... amazing. I prepared my steaks by layering a generous amount of seasoning, then, sous vided them at 131 degrees for a little over an hour. Then pan seared them in avocado oil and butter for a few seconds each side, and again, amazing.

We absolutely love this I marinade meat in a bag over night roast the meat and the meat is never over seasoned. Best flavor and reasonable cost

I really do love this seasoning. Unfortunately I have bought my last can, as it is now just too expensive. I ordered some in January of 2016 and received 10 ounce cans (284 grams). I just re-ordered for the same price and they are now coming in 6.5 ounce cans (184 grams) - over a third less product for the same price. Simply not worth the cost now - it was already borderline too expensive with the old larger size. Too bad - it really is a nice product. I have returned my shipment for a refund.

Loved the flavor!!

The seasoning is amazing but the packaging sucks and doesn’t keep the seasoning fresh. Having lived in Seattle, El Gaucho IS the place for steaks. And you can purchase seasoning at the restaurant that is well packaged and ‘reasonably’ priced. I thought that was what I’d be getting but I was incorrect. Same seasoning, poorer packaging. Why not sell what you sell in the restaurant?!
