Truly this books is worth every penny of its high price.The photographs and reproduction of the paintings is of the highestquality - a beautiful book, precise and with the most amazing and bestpaintings of Stubbs. Glad I bought it.

Believe the reviews as this is really an exceptional and substantial catalogue raisonne on Stubbs' beautiful paintings. I have always admired Stubbs' horses and they are well depicted here, plus the dogs and other animals too. A real gem!. I have never written a review before but felt that I have gained so much by reading other people's reviews on this publication that I should also send in my praise. Of course some reviews on other titles could be bias but it is always my decision to purchase. Anyway, enjoy.

I was disappointed in the quality of the printing of the George Stubbs paintings in the book otherwise it seems to be quite comprehensive.

Comprehensive book on Stubbs. Expensive but worth it for the connoisseur! A wonderful present for a special birthday or suchlike.

It is a beautifully presented book, with wonderful prints - perfect for reference ( my daughter wanted it for Art History at Uni! ) but love having it at home. Looks good on any table

Stunning book. What more needs to be said? Huge. Beautifully printed and well-bound. The slipcover is a bonus. If you are at all familiar with Stubb's magnificent and ground-breaking work and dedication to the study of animal anatomy, this is THE book to own.
