Great for the money
I've had this for a couple of months now and it works great! Super easy to set up, connects fine to the wifi and even has cellular backup and battery backup incase the power goes out! The only problem i had was that when i first unboxed it the battery had a little short in the connection, I was able to get the panel on the back of the hub open and pushed the battery connector back into place and it has worked fine since.

Easy, Fast, Thorough. Pure magic.
We bought a home a few months ago and our home insurance required that we have a home security system. We completely forgot to get something set up and our agent reminded us that we needed on ASAP.I ordered this kit after she emailed me in the morning, around 10am, it shipped to my house at 2pm, and arrived around 5pm.I set everything up in about an hour and had the security certificate to my insurance agent by the end of the day.Cherry on top: Everything integrated seamlessly with Alexa.WOW. That was truly a magical and 10/10 experience from start to finish.

Awesome product
I moved my system from my house to my RV when I went full time. This system is awesome with maybe a quirk here or there. I’d recommend getting the solar setup for anything outside. If not you’ll be changing batteries constantly.I bought the panic button, motion detector , 5 cameras, door bell, freeze sensor, range extender and chimes equaling 31 items just on the ring, not including the robot vacuums, robot litter box, 5 Sonos speakers, 4 Alexa, Apple Home pod, 12 Emporia wireless plugs for electric monitoring, 6 lifx bulbs, 3 yard wireless lights, laptop, phone and everything else I have. All of this in my RV. The people that say this system doesn’t work, has bad signal or blah blah blah or doesn’t know what they’re doing or don’t have the wifi to handle all the components.I occasionally have a sensor that messes up but other than that all this is on my 1 T-Mobile home internet. Being in IT for 30 years I know that most of the modems only have the capacity to connect limited devices. I’ve always had to find a modem that handles all my stuff. If you having trouble with any of your wifi gadgets look at your system as that’s likely the problem. This system connect easily and works with very little interaction from me.

I like this system. Here is my experience.
After research, I bought and installed this system. I like it and recommend it. Here's what I've learned:The system works well and was very easy to install. It's mostly wireless. Simple tools are all you need for mounting outdoor cameras and solar panels.I bought the basic system and added to it. The basic system still contained things I don't need such as the main keypad and motion detectors. You may want them. If you have several doors and kids coming and going, having a keypad by each door may be just what you need. You may want one by your bed. Motion detectors without a camera seem unnecessary, but maybe you want them. Door and window detectors seem like a good idea, but I didn't buy more. I may add more later. It's very easy.I think it depends on why you want any security in the first place. We are now retired and want to watch our house while we're gone. I think if a guy is going to break in, he's going to grab stuff and be gone pretty quickly. The Ring stickers on all the windows may deter him. If he does break in, I will have him on 'tape' and the cops will likely catch him later. If a window or door is broken or open, I will know that and can alert my neighbor. I recommend having a great neighbor. Too bad you can't order one on Amazon.I have added outdoor cameras. I live in Minnesota so I needed wired cameras. The batteries stop working in the cold. It gets really cold here. The doorbell handles the front. There is one watching my driveway and another at my back door. I have 4 cameras inside. Living room, dining room, kitchen, and another in the basement to watch the furnace. I also bought a smoke/CO2 alarm 'listener' and a freeze/water sensor. It came as a two-pack so I have two in my basement.I made sure I had the regular number of my local police department on my phone so I could call them if I needed them to respond to my home. Fortunately, I didn't need it. Something to think about.I just got back from 10 days in Hawaii and the system worked just fine. No burglars, fortunately. But I could watch my great neighbor shovel my walks and driveway and I saw the mail carrier delivering the mail. They were supposed to hold the mail, but that didn't work. I contacted my neighbor and asked him to bring the mail inside. Between Ring and my neighbor, we were able to have a relaxing vacation!I had priced a commercial security company and got a quote on a professionally installed and monitored system. I think a few years ago a commercial system would have been the best decision, but this DIY technology is fine for my purposes. It's 'ready for prime time.'I like the fact that I can pay for professional monitoring as I need it. But, after my recent experience, I don't think I need it. At least not now. I was online everywhere I was on vacation so I received all the motion alerts and could respond as necessary. There were several erroneous motion alerts, and I turned down the sensitivity and re-set some of the detection areas. I'm getting the system 'dialed in.'
