Superb Strategic Resource!
If you’re serious about learning how to thrive in VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity), or perhaps you are training individuals and teams to do the same, this book is an absolute must have!Erik Schön has brilliantly laid out the key concepts of Sun Tzu, John Boyd, and Simon Wardley in a simple and concise manner, without omitting key concepts. Compact yet complete!Whether you are new to the concepts of Sun Tzu, Boyd, and Wardley Mapping, or are very familiar with them, you will find tremendous utility in this book. Schön has created a resource that works for both teaching and reference. My personal favorite part is the introduction. At the outset of the journey, Schön clearly sets the expectations as to where we might find ourselves, and what we might aspire to if we can master the concepts of Sun Tzu, Boyd, and Wardley. With the purpose and expectations clearly spelled out in such an outline, the contents of the book easily fall into place.I highly recommend this book as a required resource for any serious strategist!

Simply brilliant!
This book is simply brilliant! Erik Schön does an outstanding job of amalgamating three brilliant strategic thinkers: Sun Tzu, John Boyd, and Simon Wardley. Clearly a monumental undertaking, Erik intelligently (and practically) weaves commonalities among a 2,500-year old wisdom tradition (Sun Tzu Bing Fa) with John Boyd (OODA loop) and Simon Wardley (Wardley maps). As a long-time student of the Bing Fa, I'm finding Erik's book incredibly enlightening and I’ve already gleaned some unexpected insights. In fact, it has made it to the top of my strategy book stack; and candidly, I think it's an exceptional distillation and synthesis of the best strategic thinking available to us. It will be a continual read for me.

A great resource for anyone into effective Strategy.
As a fan of Wardley Mapping and have written about it myself prevously I find this book is a great resource that ties in Sun Tzu and Boyd as I have been looking for a hardback that covers these elements of Strategy. Many thanks Erik for bringing this book out!
