Take the first step of your journey to fitness with this book.
This is an amazing book! Everything, and I mean everything that a person needs to know about getting started in their journey to fitness is within this book. Each chapter thoroughly explains all the things that you need to know, all the questions that is currently running through your head, and any question that will pop-up in the near future, when you start to work-out. I love that it gives a brief background and explanation of what Calisthenics is and where it originated. I most especially love the fact that not only does it guide you through each process step-by-step, but it also points out and explains the importance of nutrition, diet, and resting - some little facts that are highly essential in working-out that are very so often left out by some if not most fitness books.I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is starting to work-out and to anyone who has already started but needs further guidance. Each chapter will not only help you on what you need to do, but also help you do it efficiently. This book will surely help you achieve the body that you always dreamed of having.

Starting to work out? Get this book!
¨So to start off, I should definitely recommend this book to begginners and those, who want to start doing something for their health. The book covers anything you need to know from A to Z in order to start exercising. Author really goes in deep about being fit in order to start exercising (doing a physical before you start) and really makes sure that nothing happens that can be prevented. There are also some nifty routines and strategies included, as to what you should follow, when you start visiting gym. Habits you should build.Exercises included are understandable and accompannied by pictures (like half of them, anyway, the rest is just in a written form). Every muscle group you have, book mentions, with details as to what exercises should be done in this area and such. I found very little about back, though. There is also a chapter about diet and supplements, which will show you some basic guildelines to follow as well. I would take advice from here with a grain of salt, especially in the supplement area, as I cannot relate to everything written here. For example taking nitrix based supplement before sleeping. At least in my case, there would be no sleep if I took it. Book also suggests only two supplements. One being multi-vitamin, which is okay and fine and creatine, which is okay and fine as well, BUT. Book doesn’t tell you anything about how you should take it. Creatine should only be taken in cycles, accompanied by certain workout program for the best results. Body will build up a resistance to it when taken everyday and its effect on the body will diminish over time. All in all, if we assume the book is targeted at beginners, it did a great job! Staying on the safe side of things; it delivered everything ranging from preparations, diet, exercises, basic supplements, detailed muscle groups descriptions, staying hydrated and throwing a yoga chapter in there as well. However if you are more advanced, there is nothing new waiting for you.TL:DR- Good begginners guide for starting with exercising- Pictures of excercises shown in most cases- Author makes sure that you take every step necessary in order to be healthy before you start- Some discrepancies regarding supplements (nitrix and creatine, purely my opinion)- Missing pictures at some of the excercises make them really hard to picture- Really little to nothing about back muscle group for some reason- Recommended!

I was looking for some good workout routines using just bodyweight
If you know absolutely nothing about exercise, this glimpse from a distance might be for you. I was looking for some good workout routines using just bodyweight. The advertising and reviews sounded good, so I blew/totally wasted some money on this, sorry, got to say it, completely worthless collection of paper. I can't even call it a book because a book usually has some creative thought attached to it. This "book" does not have that. I don't normally write negative reviews, but if I can save anyone from wasting their time and money on this "book", it was worth it. There are countless beginner workout routines on youtube that are worlds better than anything offered in this collection of paper. Good luck.

A workable book, but there are better out there.
Okay, this book is an attempt to cover everything involved in a bodyweight regimen to get in condition. I think it does a good job in several aspects. 1) It does touch on diet and hydration (the most important factors in losing weight) and 2) It does cover the basics that people really don't think about (for instance, checking with a physician beforehand, etc). However, there are a couple of problems I had. 1) Current science says that a brief warm up before stretching is more effective than cold stretching 2) There are several exercises in which the description left me scratching my head. A photo, or better yet, a link to a youtube video would have been an invaluable aid to understanding some of the exercises (the biceps section especially)There is some awkwardness and sub-optimal word choices in the prose. However, it is readable and gets the point across. I think it is a decent start for a reader but there are better books out there that also cover progressions.

complete guide for losing the weight and gaining stamina
The concept of calisthenics is using your body weight to increase your physical strength and stamina. So the chances of injuries is very less in calisthenics and your body become more flexible as compared with gym going people.Calisthenics was started in India than slowly this body training culture spread into many country. The author describe how you can you reduce your weight , gain your physical as well as mental strength without using any additional weight during your workout and what food you need to take and what food you need to avoid while reducing your weight. In this book there is a interesting chapter for street workout like push-up,pull ups, squats etc. This book has separate chapters for basic,Intermediate and core workout along with that also have a separate section for diet plan.I can say its a complete guide for the weight loss and gaining physical strength.

Could be much better.
What would really help this book out would have been photos, or illustrations of the exercises. It;s hard to practice form if you don't have a referance, usually given in this type of book.

Not for intermediate
Too brief and everything is obvious if you're starting out then fine but there are better resources out there trust me
