Broke within 2 months, terrible customer service
The device broke within 2 months of use, the screen displays an error code of C4 - who knows what the hell that means though, there's nothing on the EcoBreeze website to help troubleshoot and they A) don't answer the support phone number B) haven't replied to e-mails to their customer service for 2 months.

Mixed results
Good:1) Fits the standard double-hang window, DIY installation possible2) The fan works well and is reasonably quiet on low speeds3) The filter removes dust form the external airBad:1) The support bracket does not fit my fairly standard replacement window frames at all. I had to rework the bottom end of the frame to install a pad to which the bracket can be attached. To make it removable, significant work was involved. Since the bracket does not carry much of a load (the device appears to be pushing and pulling on the frame and the sash), and in my case simply helped in the installation process, perhaps something more flexible and supporting more windows frame profiles can be designed.2) The humidity sensor is useless. With a working AC, in any but desert climes the humidity outside will be higher than inside, so this sensor will always have to be disabled.3) The temperature sensor is semi-useless. Its design causes it to measure the temperature of the box, so both the measured outside temperature and the inside one will greatly depend on the sun shining on the box. While the box is on the sunny side, I have to resort to the manual control using a separate two-channel temperature and humidity sensor. The device should be redesigned to use external sensors that can be placed in the shade. Wireless sensors for this purpose cost next-to-nothing.That said, the thing works.

This works better or worse depending on where you live, do your research.
After doing some research this is basically a temperature-controlled filter fan that works kinda like a whole house fan but for renters who cant modify their buildings. I am lucky I rent in an area of the east coast where this is stated to have a good effect and so far I can definitely agree. But I already had a bio air window fan that i placed in the back room of my floor to pull the filtered air and heat through the apt from the front room where this i ecobreeze 2.1 is installed to create a positive pressure of slow airflow. So far that is working really well to keep me cool. However much above 76 degrees, I do need to use the ac, this is a pretty good improvement but, it is maybe a little early to see how this kinda expensive smart-ish fan will pay off, one thing is certain the quality is top-notch! I did have an issue with the mount as my windows are old double-hung windows that lacked the second wall to use the screwless bracket with I ended up using a Dremel to cut off the lip that would be used with modern windows with a cut off wheel and drilling two screw holes so could screw the mount into the wood sill. that worked perfectly and was easy to weather seal with the included kit. so far I am very pleased and this does a great job of filtering out street smog and other smells from the buisy street my building is on and that is really great.

Cool
My ecobreeze 2.1 came a few days ago. I’ve already installed it. It was easy. The good part came at night. I was downstairs cooking my dinner thinking I would have to run upstairs and turn the fan on to cool the house down for night which is what I always used to do. I had set the eobreeze on automatic and when I did go upstairs to check on how hot it was in the bedroom, the room temperature was perfect. Another cool feature on it is a tracking device that lets me keep track of the number of hours it is actually in use. I’m looking forward to seeing this effect on my energy bills.

Product Failed after One Month, Manufacturer MIA
This was working great for the month that I had been using it! A week ago, I noticed the display displayed "c3." None of the functions work besides turning the fan onto the weakest setting and then turning it off. The automatic functions had completely failed and so did the rest of the interface buttons.Last week I went to the manufacturer's webpage and sent in a contact form on Monday; a few days later, I then called their number as listed on their website. On my third attempt, I went through Amazon's "contact seller" option on Friday. I have never heard back from the company, and I am extremely disappointed in this expensive purchase. Due to how Amazon returns work, even though I used the product only within a 30-day window before the error, I had to wait for 2 weeks for the product to arrive.Overall, while the product was great and saved me on my energy bill for a short while, having an issue that truly bricks a window fan is unacceptable after 30 days of use.

No customer service
Sadly, I can't get anyone to call me back. A piece of plastic that directs the airflow was dislodged in shipping and I"d hoped to get help in putting it back into place but in the last 5 days no one has returned my calls or responded to my e-mail. Additionally the installation doesn't really work on metal windows and I have to come up with all sorts of work arounds to get a good seal between the outside and inside.

Great Improvements
I was delighted when I ordered a second EcoBreeze to find there was a new model 2.1 with many great improvements. The new mounting system for double hung windows has been greatly improved having newly designed brackets to hold it in place. The directions for all the controls are very thorough and written in easy understandable language. They answer many questions about the operation of this product. I waiting for warm weather to experience the internal operational improvements. The staff at Nature's Cooling is very helpful.

Read all information before you buy
Make sure you read all product info. Not really suited to city areas which remain warm and muggy at night. Also, company does not pay for return postage.
