Frank Lloyd Wright Midway Gardens Chess Set

The pieces are very nice and are made of a dense resin (slight odor). They are shipped in a very nice storage box. This would have been a five star rating if not for the cheap felt on the bottom of the pieces. Several pieces have their felt applied crooked. On a couple of pieces few the corners of the felt are 'dog eared', meaning they are peeled back. For the price of this set I was expecting perfection.

Great looking pieces! I bought this set for my husband as a gift. He loved it and didn't want to play chess with the pieces, because they looked so pristine!You will not be disappointed with this set!The only "little" thing is the pieces don't look all identical. However, for us...the made it more authentic looking!

The Pieces Won't Stand Up Straight. It Would Appear To Be The Result Of Faulty Casting Of The Square Basses.Also, It Looks Like Someone Had Used A Highly Abrasive Cleanser In Attempt To Clean These Pieces, Much Of TheDetail Has Been Worn Away, The Faces Of Many Of Pieces Has Been Completely Rubbed Out. This chess set is not only beautiful, but great to play with. It is interesting and well executed--no rough edges. It was also shipped with alacrity.
