VIOLA Fingering Chart Poster Board book – February 1, 2014

I'm a high school strings teacher who's also an active viola player.This poster includes examples of what each fingering looks like in standard music notation. The notation for high F, F#/Gb, G, G#/Ab, and A on the A string in 4th position are incorrect. Instead, on the poster they read as high E, E#/Fb, F, F#/Gb, and G respectively (they're written a second lower than they should be.)Another notational quibble: all accidentals on the chart are placed to the right of noteheads, instead of to the left where they should be.Despite the errors, it's a very pretty poster. I didn't have any of the shipping issues some of the others commented on.

This is helping my son who has learned viola with Suzuki and ear training. Starting to read music is hard once you can play by ear. This chart was very helpful for him to see while he’s hearing.

Nice if it wasn’t all folded and wrinkled. Came in a big box with other stuff just floating around. Can’t hang, can straighten out . Too bad, nice quality otherwise

What a wonderful tool. I keep it on my music stand as a quick reference. It is easy to read. Would purchase again. Wish there were a laminated edition!

Love these fingering charts! Very well made and beautiful.

It is nice to have. However, it was placed in the bottom of the box and was wet and soggy and nearly ruined when I took it out. We had to let it air dry. Some kind of wrapping would have been helpful.

New quality on heavy stock w/ all the review/reference info I'll ever need.
