Alpine Swiss Duffy Womens Wool Coat Fur Trim Hooded Parka Jacket

Great jacket for fall and winter. The hood comes off, so you have options. Love the adorable toggle closures! It also has a zip closure. This is not a cheap felt coat with no lining, as so many seem to be. This is very nice: 30% wool 70% polyester with a hefty quilted lining. There are outside pockets as well as a hidden pocket inside at the chest. I got size Large, and it fits well except for the sleeves. I folded them under when I first got it (about two inches worth) but will do a blind stitch next season to keep them in place (an easy fix, but you can tuck it under and not stitch it, too). I may have been able to get away with a size medium, but I decided to go bigger if I wanted to wear bulkier items underneath (like a sweater or a blazer). Very happy overall, 5 stars.

I really like this coat - it has a nice somewhat fitted look, and more or less each component feels well crafted, and the red color looks really nice. With the well defined shoulders and slick look it has a vague military feel without the hood, and kind of a more refined winter parka look when the hood is on.In terms of size, I found the XXL is probably the best fit for me (I typically wear 1X, or 16~18). The sleeves come down past my arm a little bit, and the jacket length hits me about mid-thigh. There is a minor issue in the shoulders in that they are slightly tight, but I still have a pretty decent range of motion and it feels like I would have to pull pretty hard to damage the coat, so it doesn't bother me.Styling is pretty nice, too. There is a zipper that keeps the coat closed, and a second that allows you to add or remove the hood - both slide easily, and are hidden when worn. There are four snaps throughout the coat - 1 on each end of the body zipper (so near the bottom of the coat and near the neck), and 2 that keep the hood closed and in place when it's up. The clasps on the outside look cute, but I find the top two come undone sometimes (they are loose enough that there isn't really any tension keeping them in place).Other than that I find the coat really functional. It's pretty warm, and the high collar and thick hood are nice against some of the winter wind we have here in Portland. When it arrived we had days in the 20s and 30s with strong winds, and I felt pretty warm in the coat. Now it's in the 30s and 40s with softer wind, and I find the coat is still a nice match, particularly if I take the hood off and wear it open in the warmer stretches.Very happy with my purchase - it was on sale for $50 and I feel I'd have been happy to pay full price :)

Overall this coat was a good buy, although it does have some issues. I am 5'11", weigh about 165 and typically wear a size 10 or 12, preferably tall. Many reviewers here said the sleeves run long, so I took a chance on the coat and am very pleased with the sleeve length, which is beyond my wrist and overlaps my gloves very well. As others have said, I find the upper arm a bit tight and probably could not wear this over 2 semi-thick layers. It did work over a t-shirt and light sweater combo. Otherwise the fit is good, not too snug with a good length even for me. The hood is more for show than function as it is very loose and does not stay up when walking or in even a light wind. It does not have a drawstring tie, so the only way to close it is the snaps at the top of the collar above the zipper, and again it's very loose. The collar helps with staying warm. The other 2 main concerns I have are that the zipper is bright gold and looks cheesy, but when the coat is fully closed with the toggles you can't see the zipper, and that the pockets are not well made. They are a thin fabric that will probably tear before long if used for keys and such, they are not deep at all, and one of them has gimpy sewing that makes it bunch up, reducing the capacity and making it harder to put anything in there without worrying it will fall out. When fully zipped the coat does block the wind well.

I loved this coat, I bought it in 2 colors black & grey. It’s warm enough for chilly fall or late spring weather. For winter it works great if you have layers & a scarf but it’s not a heavy duty winter coat. Fits true to size, long pea coat design, cute toggles & zipper closure, removable faux fur lined hood, plenty of pockets. This coat lasted 2 years of winters! My only issue was the pilling but that happens with most clothes after lots of wear.

Pros:Color is like the pictureWarm. Kept me warm in the frigid, moist air of sub-40s Houston.Looks nice and sleek. It keeps you warm without adding bulk. You can still look feminine while wearing this.Lined all the way down to the sleeve cuffs.Cons:Hood fur sheds. Not a big issue if you leave the hood off. The jacket looks classier without it.The material is a wool blend, so it attracts fuzz/pet hair.Not much shoulder movement. Shoulders fit snugly.There’s some kind of weird stitching on the inside of the pockets to where you can’t actually use them for anything.Edit 1/12/21: One of the fasteners broke after just a year of owning this and wearing it for a fraction of the year. Lowered my review to 3 starts because of this.

I like the fit and how thick the jacket is. It's not the flimpsy type of pea coat and it's pretty warm.

I really loved this jacket. Love the style of it. The only issue I had was it ran big. The sleeves were super long. I had to reorder in a 1x smaller size and that worked perfectly. Nice coat though. I do like it

Love this coat. Warm and feels great. I ordered a large which had some room for a sweater if needed. I also ordered a medium which is more form fitting. No complaints. Great buy!

This company is lying,this woman jacket is not woollen, it’s only 30% wool and too much 70% polyester. I received it and I hoped it was made of wool . I don’t want polyester jacket

Mi aspettavo di meglio: ho comprato una S (di solito vesto anche XS), ma essendo minuta mi era molto grande di spalle e di maniche. Qualità discutibile rispetto al prezzo, l'avrei apprezzato di più se il suo costo fosse stato minore.

Received earlier than expected. Very nice, good fit. I probably could have sized down but wasn't sure if a heavy sweater would fit with it. I gave it a 4 star only because it has a hole in one pocket.

I have to wonder who set the sizing for these. I ordered a larger size and It's still snug
