Intermediate Security Testing with Kali Linux 2

Very useful exercises that will eventually turn into lab exercises. Well written book. Just needs to maintain an errata sheet site as changes always occur.

Great book, in depth to a point.........definitely need a computer background to understand it!

This book definitely helped to flesh in and build upon the "Basic...." book. It's a must have for any professional's library.

I will start this off by saying that I like the book, it's a great compendium of stellar information and neat tricks that can be performed. However, I rated it three stars because it lacks something important - how & why he chose a specific vulnerability. Typically with books in this format, you can literally "google-fu" an online blog or tutorial page to see how to bluntly get into a vulnerable service. This book is no different. It would be worth the purchase (in my eyes) if there was some explanation towards the methodology of finding and utilizing the vulnerability instead of "just select this super vulnerable setting and follow this guide cause it works". That would have truly set this book apart from all the free online blogs/tutorials/previously published books by others.

Good book

Great follow up to the first book! Very helpful info for the switch from kali 1.0.9 to kali 2.0. I also love how the book is actually a book, too many other security focused books are more like brochures and can't even keep quality material for 200 pages. This book is 470 pages, and all relevant information and material.

This is a good book if you don't have any experience with Kali. It's mostly screen shots on how to use the most basic functions of some of the standard tools that come with Kali.

Está en inglés con muchas utilidades para la red local propia. Un poco uniforme en la presentación sin resaltar debidamente, en mi opinión, las opciones.

un bon bouquin en somme. Si vous connaissez (et utilisez) déjà bien Kali, vous n'apprendrez peut-être pas grand chose (encore que, j'ai été agréablement surpris. cela m'a fait découvrir des choses!) mais ce livre reste un must où on retrouve tout en concentré. achat que je ne regrette pas et que je conseille fortement.un livre qui a toute sa place dans ma bibliothèque du "parfait pentester"

Trabajo en el campo de Seguridad Informática y este libro es de lectura muy amena y muy práctico. El precio es más que interesante (tiene cerca de 500 páginas).
