Oil is fine. Not as potent as one might hope. Pump doesn't work.
The oil isn't as strong as I hoped, but it's fine. Also, the spray pump doesn't work, but that's only because of the consistency of oil. Pump worked with water. If you have cedar blocks in your home, use a cotton ball or small paint brush, apply the oil lightly, throw in a ziplock bag to let it soak into the wood without drying on the surface. After 24 hours, remove from bag and place around dressers, closets, cabinets, etc. Has lasted several weeks only using a small amount. I'll buy it again when I run low.

Excellent natural oil, perfect for rejuvenating cedar!
In February of this year I took on the project of reviving an old cedar chest (ca. 140 years old) that has been in the family. Per a number of websites I found online I took fine grit sandpaper to the inside of the chest to open the pores of the wood. I then vacuumed the inside to suck the dust out from these said pores (which I didn't see to do anywhere, it just made sense). This gave a very faint cedar smell to the chest that had been absent before except on long standing with the lid closed. I bought this oil to treat the inside of the chest and wiped it on using a foam brush. I applied two heavy coats resulting in a faint darkening of the wood. The wood quickly soaked up the oil then again looked dry. After which the chest had a notable cedar odor.I thought, "Good, that's what I'm going for." So come April once the weather started to warm up I put our down comforter into the chest. Last night I pulled the comforter out of the chest. Woah! Now that's some cedar odor! Two coats was probably one coat too much. Although the odor was nice and consistent once applied, that was with the lid opened. If you're going to be using this to revive a chest as I did, apply it sparingly, whatever you put inside is going to be locked up with the cedar for a long time.In spite of this I still love the product even though I have my comforter airing out outside. There is plenty left, I used probably only 1/8 of the bottle even though I put on those two heavy coats. The quality is way up there, other cedar oils on Amazon sometimes have reviews that say the oil smelt burnt, not this one. A strong true cedar smell. It even comes with a CofA (certificate of analysis) where the contents are analyzed by GC (with % of individual components given) for quality control. Something I would associate with a quality product where consistency of batches is important. All in all this oil comes highly recommended, just be more judicious applying it than I was.

A Qualified Success: See My Writeup
This bottle of oil had a burned smell, as if the batch being processed was allowed to go dry during steaming, and perhaps it scorched a bit. Also, the oil was certainly some type of juniper or cedar, but it didn't smell quite like American red cedar. After a couple weeks the fragrance disappeared, so I re-soaked my cedar blocks in the closet. All in all, the stuff works, but it could be better, unless there is something about cedar oil I don't know.J

Incredible ...
I've always loved the scent of cedar, and it most recently came to mind for use in combating the STRONGEST odor of moth balls you've never dreamed of smelling. Turns out my boyfriend's ex was notorious for not cleaning up after her cat and the smell was so strong, he would put down moth flakes in the corners of the living room to overpower the odor.Enter this cedar from stage left TODAY. I got busy spraying clean cotton rags with it and wiping down EVERYTHING, from the ceiling fan to the wood wall paneling, tabletops to the door frames and even sprayed a little in those very same corners where the moth flakes had been.My boyfriend ran an errand in the middle of me cleaning with it, and upon returning remarked that he could smell the cedar from outside the door, and the front windows were only open about a quarter of the way. The crazier part is, after all that cleaning (a living room, entry way, staircase, and second landing inclusive of all the wood wall paneling) not even a centimeter's worth of that bottle was gone.I should mention that, although he could smell it from outside, when I asked him if he thought the scent was too much, he said it wasn't at all and was pretty happy that the moth ball scent was gone.Yay for this stuff!

Super Cedar!
(say that 10 times fast...). This is great stuff, with a very strong cedar smell. Excellent for refreshing cedar chests, etc, and could be used to turn a ordinary closet or armoire into a cedar chest. My first nozzle didn't work, they quickly shipped a replacement.Don't spray this directly on clothes, it's too oily and too strong. But the concentration makes it perfect for those other uses.

Miss Cedar
I am so excited. Had been using bug spray (performing like sugar water) for ants. The tiny ants kept coming back in a couple of hours. Sprayed straight cedar oil in the kitchen. Didn't even use that much. The ants disappeared and have not come back. Mixed with water and started spraying everywhere. Live next to small woods, so little outdoor insects were the problem; not roaches. Used Cedar oil to soft burn in an outdoor lamp using tea candles on porch to smoke insects away while I sit on the porch. Now I can use the light on my porch at night without having moths coming around the light and coming in the house when I open the door. Put two sprays of cedar oil in a mixture of shai butter, almond oil and aloe vera. Put in microwave for one minute to make a soft paste and rub on my skin as an insect repellent. Thanks

Meh
I expected the scent to knock my socks off but it fades quickly. I purchased it to spritz on my cedar wood hangers in my closet. After I first spray it- it smells like I'm storing weed in my closet instead of clothes! Then I get a few days of nice cedar scent- and then it's gone. I was hoping for more.

Well..
This is definitely a good product for its price. It is quality essential oil of cedar. The applicator spray mechanism is not very good though. That is only criticism of the container, though. What is in the container is excellent, but you should purchase your own spray bottle for it if that is what you want.
